Seen a few Wlad v Ali threads, but never Vitali v Ali, so who takes it?

Could go either way really. Same as Lewis or Tyson vs Ali.

I'd give it to Ali 6/10 for the better jab and speed.

If someone thinks that ali has any chance against any top tier Hw from or post klitschko era is an absolut idiot.

ali lost to leon spinks who at that time had 7 fights, he lost to frazier who would be considered a lwh or supermiddle weight by todays standart.

people juat generally love the idea that a smaller man can beat a bigger one, because they arent tall themself so get a hard on by the thought.

there is a reason that the top 1 HW was always one of the biggest, or the biggest of the current division.

You are one of the most ignorant guys that I've ever debated on this forum.

On any debate of this kind, you personally always do 3 things:

    1. You dismiss fighters based on the era that they fought in, as you're convinced that the sport continually evolves.

    2. You look at how big whoever their opponent is, as you're convinced that the biggest guy always holds all of the advantages.

    3. You always specifically choose a faded version of the fighter in question to try and boost your argument.

That is what you do time and again.

What you never do though, is to look logically at how they would have matched up stylistically.

It seems that that is completely beyond you.

Who would have been a SMW or LHW in this era?

Obviously you missed the 80's era, where for half a decade, a guy of 5'10 blasted his way through the division.

The sad thing is, you're not even trolling for a joke. You're actually serious here.

What is this nonsense? What about:

    Bob Fitzsimmons
    Tommy Burns
    Joe ****ing Louis
    Floyd Patterson
    Mike ****ing Tyson
    Michael Moorer
    Evander ****ing Holyfield.

That just off the top ofmy head and only including lineal.

If you're going to say something controversial have the presence of mind to be vaguely right about some of the important stuff.

I suspect that he does have more sense of reality than majority of posters here.
Patterson was really great boxer, respectable and he is Olympic Champion! not only he was pro boxing champion.
Patterson was approx 190 lber and this in modern days means that with modern sport dietician and long term plan he most likely today really had been LHW boxer.

There I think he today might had beated up Canelo, prime Kovalev ( Canelo had in the ring Kovalev recently almost finished by Yarde, I do not mean here this Kovalev version ), also most likely Beterbiev in his prime.
Not even modern CW size boxers like prime Huck before he had get lost fights vs Glowacki, Briedis and Usyk.

Reality is that in modern days HW boxers are really very large if compare with old age period.

I had expected more friendly discussions and more realistic approach in this forum.

Ali was too fast, too slick, and too good a boxer for Vitali.

It’s true though. Ali has a torrid time with the big fellas from Lewis onwards

Non U.S boxers here usually are picked up for their fights when they were older than 36.
This is reality in forums discussions.
Including Lewis, he when was 34 moved faster than his 37-38 y.o versions.
Especially comfortable to use this against EE boxers and insist that they were in their prime before retirement.

This is a on going trend.

ali was in 95% of his fights the bigger and heavier fighter, the same goes for holmes and later lewis.
I like tyson but he sucked, he literally lost everytime he faced a top tier hw and spare me with that mysterious tyson prime that ended exactly the day he fought douglas.

Vitali just another stiff idiot that relies on his size. His resume is **** poor, absolute **** poor. Like I wouldn't even spit on it. The main challenge for Ali here is the size, which I'm not sure if he could overcome. But I'd give him a good chance purely due to his quick feet and reflexes

This stiff idiot most likely was not GOAT but definitely does have more money than anyone posting about him comments ever will have.
    So idiotic he is. ;)
With the same success you might wrote comments about Gates, difference between your and his wealth too is not less high than vs Vitali.
You therefore compensate this with your comments about him.

Maybe you might turn to more rich persons and type how dumb they are?

Till 1988 th he had improved each month and a lot.
Later yeah, he relatively quickly turned into slow his version.
