Briedis is overrated

Briedis is good and a test for anyone at Cruiser but he's nothing special and I believe Okolie beats him.

 

Becoming unified champion is impressive no matter what, it’s not against the rules to weigh in then rehydrate 15lbs or so, the board would stop it if they disagreed with it

 

Nothing special?? He was arguably the best at cruiser including Usyk, he’s the most complete cruiser there has been in years and if American he would be regarded as one of thee best ever. They’ll want to see Breidis again before making the fight a definite, he might still be to good even at 37

 

I'm actually not interested to watch Okolie fights and comment about them.
Okolie is Eddie next money boy and backed up hometown fighter who is praised in forums for short notice journeyman's finishing and beating up post covid ring rusty Glowacki in eddie backyard.
Glowacki resume is better than Okolie resume regardless that he lost vs Okolie.
Glowacki get his title in U.S by stoppage vs Huck who was on long winning steak and in his prime. He also had successful title defense in U.K and had lasted all 12 rounds vs Prime Usyk.
Okolie is eddie money kid.

Glowacki didn't looked in his prime when he fought vs Vlasov, he won dirtyboxe fight not boxing fight vs small Vlasov.
Then he appeared in semi final vs Briedis and appeared on larger guys than Vlasov his dirtyboxe attempt instead of expected effect only made opponent angry.
After beating from Briedis and only polish boxing fans and Briedis haters talks a lot about how " dirty " this was.
Glowacki get lesson he had deserved, Vlasov fans loves this lesson a lot.
Inactivity period almost 2 years, fight postponed cos he appears that had covid and vuala, Okolie marquee win had happened.

I will not watch Briedis vs Okolie.
I expect: biased commentators in eddie backyard, nice ref and judges and most likely hugging fest with some 120-108 cards to get Okolie win.
Ohh, and forums will be filled with casual **** comments.
Ofc there is chance that Briedis might appear in better shape than eddie had expected and KO Okolie.
Then there will be eddie clauses, a lot of excuses and fans comments in forums like for Whyte after his first fight vs Povetkin.

I will not waste time to discuss about next pumped by eddie prospect and how cool octopuse is.
When he will move to HW, most likely eddie will feed him old uncles and then if he will step up, he will see real top 10 top 5 HW boxers and then.

 

That's literally fanboyism.. Its not at all impressive beating inactive old men for unification in any way or form.

No, of course weight bullying is not illegal, but there should be limits on rehydration. A massive size advantage, if used and utilised for the right reasons, is almost always advantageous and can easily negate any skill deficit. And Okolie is clearly massive for the weight he looks at least 15-20lbs bigger come fight night. If someone told me it was 25-30lbs I wouldn't at all be surpised. That size advantage along with height and reach attributes will make him hard to beat at Cruiser.. Unless another weight bully comes along

I’d say 25-30 is more likely, Canelo would pack on 20 after a weigh in, imagine what that big **** could put on

Glowacki in his prime was better than Askin but this Glowacki version from fight vs Okolie I think Askin too had finished. Askin from 2018 is better than Glowacki from 2021 with 0 doubts.

I dont think Ukulele matches well with him..I dont think anyone at the weight does.

Well, eddie might even not to get this fight. He does knows that prime Briedis had destroyed Okolie and Briedis now is old. Not sure that enough old. If he will wait till autumn, most likely Briedis then already had belts vacated and moved up or retired.
If about kickboxing, funny that in semi pro boxing Briedis had KOed guy who in 2020 th had scored KO win in Glory KB.
Prime Briedis actually was always underrated and now he is old.

 

Briedis beats Okolie today.

Glowacki had an awfull performance, an off night, he is probably done career wise. Okolie did good, but lets not get carried away.
