Does anyone else see Lennox Lewis being a absolute monster against Joe Louis? I've got LL below him slightly but H2H, I visualize Louis being hurt early and stopped before 8.Just how I see it.
Yes, unlike the big guys Louis beat Lennox knows how to use his size/strength and had the power to stop Louis which I think he would.
I don't think the style would be bad for Louis, but fighting someone that good with a size advantage is a nightmare in itself. I think either could win.
Louis both hit too hard and accurately for Lennox. Lewis would be done before the round Rahman finished him, for sure. That said, Lewis is only a few rungs down from Joe as ATG, amazing fighter!
Battle between 2 ultracautious boxer-puncher, truly outstanding boxers, with athletic ability, excellent fundamentals, educated, heavy, vicious jabs, and power in both hands. Whoever made a mistake lose this battle. I think i will slightly favor Lewis, mostly because he was bigger, stronger with a longer reach. It will be an interesting chess match though.
A focused and motivated Lewis is a nightmare for anyone. I would pick him to KO Joe. He just faced such a better lot of heavies, so vastly more dangerous, and aside from twice when he was not focused and motivated, he navigated those dangers with aplomb and triumph.
In my eyes both are vastly overrated H2H and are consistently vulnerable to much lesser fighters then they should, However I think Lennox will stop Joe more often then not.
