    Let’s get one thing straight.

Half the forum are split and crying between AJ and Fury and that’s fair enough. Another portion are eyeing up BJS v Canelo.

Josh Taylor is by a distance the British P4P and is unifying on May the 22nd after 17!!!! fights.

The best part is Ramirez has a reputation for chinning people up close and JT is going to meet him head on and beat the **** out of him.

A generational talent who can box and fight in equal measure. Enjoy him while he is here because I can’t see a fighter on the horizon whose fit to lace his boots.

it’s a crying shame he hasn’t got the matchroom army behind him.

I’v enjoyed a drink this good Friday but I challenge any man on this forum to tell me that he isn’t the best fighter these shores have seen since Calzaghe hung them up.

He's a real good fighter but I wouldn't be surprised if he got beat by Ramirez just due to the fact that UK fighters have been abysmal recently lol, not just getting beat which is fine but the performances are shockingly bad. Although Taylor is better than most of our fighters- but if the fight is close he's more than likely gonna get robbed or not get the decision in a close fight. And if he does batter Ramirez and move up to 147 he really will need to show if he really is going to be a great cause it's difficult to imagine him cleaning out that division, he might not even put a dent in it.

No doubt he is our best currently, he has a bit pf everything.

As mentioned by other posters before i fear Davison will make him too cautious. Would be gutted if he gets screwed on the cards.

What Taylor has done in the pro ranks so far has been excellent and actually understated.

I do wonder if being with Davison is a smart move though. Time will tell.

He's Britain's best right now, but Ramirez will beat him.

I agree, Britain’s best right now with fury not far behind.

he’s really shown a lot of maturity in his last 5 fights.

I'm a fan, he's a great talent, but a note of caution is required. He beat Prograis by a whisker, it's arguable that home advantage may have been the difference, so slight was the gap between the two. He's now travelling to fight another champion, to his credit, so let's see how he can perform when the deck may be stacked against him.

He'll have all that 'got to take it from the champ' crap to deal with so he not only has to beat Ramirez, he needs a clear victory like you say. Get that and he's way up the world P4P list in my view. Top five with a good argument with any of them. Big big challenge ahead though.

Top fighter and seems proper down to earth. My fave British fighter.

Only concern is he’ll have boxed one round in 20 months by the time the Ramirez fight comes around and he’s traded in McGuigan for Davison.

I have zero concerns regarding the Ramirez fight. I don't even think it is a worthy fight of the best 2 in the division. Josh Taylor will find it to be one of his easier fights, and stop him in the early to mid rounds. I don't gamble, but if I did, I would bet the house on it. This fight will be a walk in the park.

The real fight between number 1 and number 2 is the rematch between Josh Taylor and Regis Progais, which must happen as the first one was way too close to call.

If he pulls it off it will be some achievement..I do have concerns about him getting sucked in to war with Ramirez which will almost certainly happen here,Ramirez is tough as nails with a rock solid chin and he will be bang up for this make no mistake...could become the 1st ever Mexican undisputed champion aswell I believe so it really is a huge fight for both.

People thinking it will be easy work for Taylor are in for a shock imo.

Bodyshots will be the difference in this fight.

Ramirez does seem to be a bit overated imo but he is dangerous.

Just re-watched a few rounds of Taylor's fight with Prograis and he's a class act, one of the best British talents of the last 20 years. Shocking that Josh has only got a portion of the coverage and money that domestic level shite like Whyte and Chisora have received, helps being a HW I suppose.

Haven't watched any of Ramirez yet so can't comment on that.
