Wish he kept McGuigan on, still highly rate Taylor and reckon he does the job. Finally a Brit (besides Fury) I can totally believe to smash an American up.

Think this fight could show how good Taylor actually is and the opportunities if he were to move up to 147 are massive. He's big at 140 and think he could quite easily go up rarely in a dull fight and seems type take any1 on. This should be type guy headline a domestic ppv not whyte or chisora or Parker etc

He is big at 140 but whilst he can make it there's still a couple of interesting fights should he become undisputed. With the proviso that he has a tough task in front of him next, if we did look beyond that... I think Catterall who stepped aside to allow this one may be mandatory next. That's an all British affair which could take place hopefully in front of a big crowd, a money spinner but also an entertaining fight Josh would be considered a strong favourite for. That could be an enticing defence.

Then he may have a choice of a mouthwatering rematch with Prograis, a defence against a Zepeda or Barrios or use the undisputed status to catapult himself into the mandatory position in the WBO in the same way Usyk did? That would be Crawford's title, which is a big ask, but maybe this path is one of the reasons he went with Top Rank?

I'd love to see him fight Prograis again, but if I were advising him I may suggest he skips that, takes the Catterall fight to defend all those belts once and then move up and hopefully catch Crawford on a decline. Even with a challengers share of the purse that could be a rewarding fight and a win would put him in a strong position in one of the most lucrative weight classes.

Agree with alot there even the now at 147. The like of thurman, porter ,the 2 garcia are all well known good paydays good fights but all on slide and fights would fancy josh to win.

Would like see him beat ramirez then retire broner then a big fight back home Scotland so a can go hahaha

Very much doubt al get to see josh Taylor and inoue on the same card again

I think should he beat Ramirez he’ll fight Catterall, maybe at Edinburgh Castle, then back off to the States for a big fight at 147. Hopefully with a few thousands Brits making the trip too.

Just seen tank Davis is planning to go up and take that fake belt off barrios so that's not an option. He was talking about fighting prograis but that won't happen.

Cherry picking 101 from Davis team.3 weight "world champion" and never once tried to unify.hes a good wee fighter but he has been strategically manoeuvred past dangerous fights.

I thought Prograis was very gracious after that verdict as I had him winning a close decision.

He came out of that fight as one of my favourite fighters. Prograis was class, pre during and post fight. I thought the fight was either a draw or a win for Taylor. Very close.

There's no telling what Josh can do. I'd prefer him to stay at 140 while that weight has such big challenges.

He's near enough the finished article, the only question mark is the trainer. Feel like Josh could teach Davison more than Davison could teach Josh.

Both were top class that night in and out the ring. Prograis certainly made a new fan in me.

I agree, but maybe he and his manager will think that after a long time away from his fanbase, fulfilling a very winnable mandatory (so a good split) in front of his home fans wouldn't be a bad next fight? No travel, all the home cooking comforts, a good payday, a rematch clause should the unthinkable happen etc etc. Not the worst option for someone who has taken plenty of tough fights in a relatively short career?

I think this was Tank talking smack rather than any genuine chance of it happening. Prograis is appreciably bigger than him and an excellent boxer. Tank is moving up in the same way Canelo did with Kovalev, he's spotted someone with a belt he can take easily to get the 'three weight' champion tag and make more money. Prograis would be a very different kettle of fish...
