Ok..this isn't a troll thread and I 100% know it's gonna attract some people but I had a question Margarito was one of my favourite fighters until the night of the Mosley fight..couldn't help but admire and respect the guy..not for his power...but his crazy stamina...titanium chin and sheer will and how he would walk through you to win and take all you had. As I've mentioned that changed the night of the handwrap scandal...and I find it hard to go back and enjoy his fights now. But just out of interest...it's always bugged me...margarito was said to have old gauze in his gloves which contained elements that make plaster Paris...... Now just out of curiosity..how hard would old gauze really be inside the gloves... And the question I really want answering is if he was found guilty of loading his gloves.....why was he only banned for 6 months and not for life and not sent to prison? It's always bugged me why his sentence was so lenient if he was guilty. This has probably come up on here a long time ago but I don't think I was a member here when it was .
Only six months because the CA commission would never admit they made a mistake. They had to do something to look competent.
Had they already ok'd the gloves when nazim wanted them reinspected...so it be their mistake for not noticing illegal wraps in the first place? I find it mad I still haven't seen pics of these wraps years later
Imo, the reason it was only six months was because they screwed up. The wraps never qualified for major wrong doing. The evil minded Brother Richardson used it loads to unsettle fighters only this time some dopey officials swallowed it and it had serious repercussions for Margarito.

It's all just so weird....his entire career was discredited..I genuinely don't know whether to give him the benefit of the doubt because obviously if it's true he's ****in scum.. but where are the cement blocks...lumps etc whatever they were....if he'd pulled a resto surely he'd be gone for good. He'd never have fought again nevermind against pacman... I'd love to know the truth

I have rarely felt the kind of euphoric excitement that I felt when watching Shane Mosley smash right hand after right hand into Antonio "The Cheater" Margarito's face. That was thrilling and such a rush to see. I was cheering on every single connect. That was an EPIC beat down of an ugly, detestable, cheating, devious SOB and it was also a public service! One of my all-time favorite fights. The way Margarito crumbled like a sack of poop at the end hehehehe Shane Mosley, thank you very much!
