He was very disciplined for that fight MAB. I’m one of the very few that think a prime Naz could’ve connected with something an got the KO, mainly because I seen how Barrera couldn’t beat junior jones and Naz could be elusive and land power when he shouldn’t have been able to in the position he was sometimes in. I believe there was a high probability of a Naz ko as much as MAB points win. Again, MAB is atg stuff easily, I rate him highly

 

I didnt said Hamed would knock Herring out but if you want to assume that its fine by me.

Oscar Valdez might be next for Herring hes pratically the same size as Naz but he doesnt hit as hard as Naz did and if he fights Herring hes knocking him out and you can quote me on that.

I don't know about "high probability," but I concede that a Hamed knockout was not entirely implausible.

Have to favour Naz. People underestimate him now based off how he ended his career. In his prime he was an elusive counter puncher with fight ending power in either hand, not the deluded, self absorbed, lazy, fighter who fought the likes of McCollough, MAB and Soto. Ingle said it himself that Hamed would lose within 4 fights after leaving him and while he went on for a bit longer than that Ingle's prediction that Hamed was declining proved to be prophetic.

Herring beating a washed up Frampton, who even at his best stylistically is at a disadvantage vs Herring, doesn't really convince me he'd beat Hamed. If the light punching Shafikov who was a similar height as Naz can KO Herring why can't the much faster, more skilled and harder hitting Hamed? Fact is Hamed has scary power and unless you have a granite chin like McCollough, Soto, MAB etc that kind of power at these low weights can bridge a wide skill gap, most fighters in these low weights rarely ever experience the kind of fight ending power a fighter like Hamed could unleash. So even if Herring out boxes Hamed, one shot and the fight could turn on it's head because Herring clearly doesn't have the chin to ride a shot from Hamed.

Also Frampton even at his best would be at a style disadvantage vs Herring. He's mainly a out boxer who counters he isn't that aggressive and looks to counter, against a much taller boxer that's always going to be problemat

 

Naz used to miss a lot. Naz started at bantam, was only 5`4.5 and never knocked out a super feather.

 

i get it this board is moreso eastern euro posters, but in no way shape or form am i confident enough in picking nas over Herring, simply because the narrative is that hes this big puncher. In a division he never wanted to enter because of Floyd, i cant say how good i think he could have done, but i dont think very well, especially against a bigger herring that can box pretty well.

 

It wasnt the 1st time and not the last either. Sanchez was stretchered out of the ring 3 times in his career, Hamed being the 2nd
