Would Crawford be Top 5? Crawford hasn't fought anyone, but he has destroyed everyone put in front of him. Plus he's widely regarded as the P4P #1-3 and in his prime. Would he be in the Top 5? Pac would be 42.5 years old, which would also factor into it. For me, Pac's Top 5 Wins: This content is protected This content is protected
He might well be the best fighter Pac ever beats. Not P4P, but in real terms. Like a WW Crawford I'd probably favour over anyone that Pac has orveiously defeated.
But that's difficult to assess on the basis that Crawford hasn't fought anyone notable. If we're being realistic, Postol is the best name on his resume and Postol is someone that Pac would KO with ease imo. And I also see Pac having easy nights with Gamboa, Benevidez, Dulorme, Jean, Shell Brook, Khan, Molina, etc.
Pacman doesn't needs anything to add on his resume. For Crawford even to walk all distance vs Spence Jr. might seriously improve his resume, not alone to last 1 single round with Pacman or Floyd Jr. cos they are very big famous names.
No one will gave him credit cos Pacman is old and Crawford even did not had beated up Spence Jr and isn't UNDISPUTED in his division. Maybe these boxers are not enough old for him to become undisputed and get the ring belt in his division? Cool joke.
You ranked Cotto as Pacs best victory. I have no doubts whatsoever favouring this version of Crawford over that version of Cotto. Did that Cotto have a better resume than Crawford, I'd say no. Old Judah and two razor close wins against Old Mosley and Prime Clottey. Then some wins against lesser known guys. Plus he'd been destroyed by Margarito and had never established himself the best fighter in any division, which is some thing Crawford has done twice. Pac would beat most people that most people have beat, that isn't what this is about. Crawford would be the best fighter Pac ever beat imo.
1. MAB 2. Cotto 3. Morales 2 4. JMM 3 (although 1st was a clear win for me) 5. Hatton/ODLH - can’t underrate ODLH win for the significance of it and ODLH “shotness” has been overplayed. ODLH took Floyd to an SD 10 months prior and just beat Forbes at 150. Hatton was the undisputed at 140, and Pac starched him in 2. That’s a far better win than Thurman.
That Cotto vs Crawford is 50/50. That Cotto may have very well stopped Crawford. An older Cotto nearly beat Canelo and have Floyd one of his toughest fights.
