Not just the film tho is it. No boxing game for about 15 years....not a big enough market for it. Fight cards with no opponents confirmed. Tv channels no longer interested in funding boxing.

Theres a bit of a pattern going on i,d have thought.

Tbf its only really because we get the same topic over and over again...why is that ppv...why cant that one be free to watch...its all eddies fault...hes just being greedy.

After a while its a bit like....its easier if we just find out why this one or that one is ppv.

I was just pointing out you cant use that as an example.

As stated many times i completely disagree with your view on PPV. Its been done to death now this discussion. We will never ever agree.

He lost to Peynaud in one of the biggest robberies ever.

He also kisses his dad on the lips.

He should definitely have a defeat on his record. Same happened with Tyson Fury and plenty of others. It's corrupt and ruins the sport.

I m not trying to change your mind buddy. Everyones entitled to their own opinion.

But you,ll never get that standard of fights consistantly not on ppv from a promoter that wants to make money on the show anyway. Wont be done. Thats just the reality of it. Frank and micks cards do nothing but back that up.

Agreed, pretty sure i seen the video he made the day after that fight. Looked like he,d been in a car crash. I,ll always respect benn for that.

Took a beating that night...lost the fight imo. With his upbringing etc would have been easy to just call it a day. To his credit...he stuck at it...worked harder and progressed. Who knows where it,ll take him but i tip my hat to anyone that goes through the fire like that.

Easy to criticise people...pretty much all you see nowadays.

You're right that arguing constantly will achieve nothing. You choose to believe what Eddie tells you about PPV and I'll choose to believe that Eddie is a snake oil salesman conning gullible mugs and lets leave it at that.

    This Saturday is the test

Hearn recently said Benn gets good viewing figures when he is on so now a Main event on fight night (one that wasn't forced upon Matchroom)

Dependant on the results, we will see the plan for Benn unfold shortly after

    Remember Whyte was the same

Beat Brown on a Fight Night type card then bang ,PPV fighter from here on in

What else do you do tho. Benn as ppv is premature for me. But eddies stables big enough to make ppv,s regardless of a headliner dependant on fights. How else do you pay them all tho.

We cant keep saying no ppv...then expect stacked cards. Its just not happening. The whyte card was poor because of lack of gate...but eddies cards are usually decent enough. He could defo do better...greed is getting in the way in terms of undercards at times....but genuinely how else do you pay for a stacked card.

Surely as a hardcore fan...you want to see say the 4th best in the division fight the 5th best. Or the 3rd fight the 7th best. Your not gonna get 80,000 gates at these fights. You want a good undercard as well. And you want it consistantly. The revenue,s not worth there while. As we,ve seen over the past...they just choose to fight boxers ranked about 100th waiting on a money making fight. Look at luis ortiz...40 years old by the time he waited for that big fight. Its a career wasted.

How do you get boxing moving?

Eddies getting it moving on ppv. We,re seeing on ppv the 1st fighting the 2nd. And the 4th fighting the 6th best etc. Take that ppv away tho and its not moving and hasnt been for a long time.

Instead of complaining about the next ppv...why not explain how we can get boxing going without ppv. Cause its not been happening for a long time...what we get is the waiting game of waiting long enough to get a fight that makes financial sense to everyone. It takes too long. In the end you dont have the momentum to grow your market so it can sustain itself without ppv.

I think being the only win on Lee Hallets 1-32 record pretty much killed his career, two of wins since against opposition with a combined record of 3-88 and no fight in 14 months suggests it is probably over.

When people dont have the answers the next answer usually is we,re not discussing it...and on and on it goes.

Just dont see the point in complaining....if people arent gonna then come up with solutions.
