Wilder mid/late ko after being outboxed for the majority of the fight. Parker is too stationary and not defensively sound enough to avoid the right hand for 12 rounds and I don't think he has the power to keep wilder at bay either

Joseph Parkers defensively actually very good and has shown that in several fights he can move well. He hasn't been able to show much of himself in recent fights. Parker knows how to move well laterally and will know how to avoid that right hand since thats the only real threat going into the fight. Of course, with Wilders athleticism he could land.

I don't think Parkers a massive puncher, but I think he could keep a boxer like Wilder honest if he landed. Let's not forget pillow fisted Fury was dangling him all over the place and 50 yo Ortiz had him out on his feet on the first and landing quite handily in the second before being starched. Let's also not forget Wilder has fought tin cans and old men his entire career.

Parker should have had at least a draw against Whyte after that second round headclash was scored a KD. Parker actually looked very good before the headclash.

Parker was also somewhat prevented at working inside with AJ by the ref. Granted that could have gone either way but how is Parker supposed to do any work against AJ being the smaller guy, wtih far smaller reach and a ref that's stopping any close quarter action

Well, featherfist Junior Fa made Parker wobble several times, imagine what Wilder would do with that right hand...

Parker's new trainer Andy Lee is working on his "over-forward-balancing" and other issues.

When JP fights Chisora we will see what progress may be made....

As bad as Wilder actual “boxing skills” are guys who are stationery targets without good head movement are prone to eventually get KO’d by him. Parker since his fight with AJ had been look alot like Breazeale.

I thought Parker had good potential a few years ago,,,,,I don't any longer. I doubt he'd fight Wilder if offered

I agree that Parker has let us down in recent years.

His new "Kronk" trainer and this fight against Chisora will show us if Parker's day is done....

As much as I have been frustrated by Parker recently (like everyone) I still think he ices Wilder.

Parker to stop the fraud within 4. Parker hits significantly harder than Fury and offers more movement than anyone that Wilder has fought (outside of Fury). Not to mention speed - Parker would time the predictable Wilder and catch him lunging in with a punch that Wilder doesn't see coming.

For some reason, people are inclined to forget that Wilder has a terrible chin and most recently, soft to the body.
Parker has a great chin - admittedly he looked terrible against Fa, but that wasn't his chin. The only time he has been down in his career was following a headbutt from Whyte. Compare that to Wilder who has been shaken to his boots by a stiff jab...

Parker was buzzed by a couple of shots from Fa, but that was more from surprise on the break + stamina. Let's not forget that Wilder doesn't make the other fighter work and wouldn't have the size/weight to bully Parker like Fa. If Parker is able to move around the ring and flick out the jab, it could be a relatively easy fight for him. He also carries power into the later rounds.

If he goes docile mode and lets Wilder put his mark on the fight, that's a different story. But given that Wilder has failed to do so with any recent opponents, I don't see that being an issue. He was gun shy again Fury 2x and Ortiz for 90% of the fight.

Hopefully, Lee has been working on Parker from his last performance because that chin drop coming forward was asking for a leveraged uppercut... fortunately that is something that Wilder does very poorly.

It will be interesting to see how this poll would look post-Chisora.

Happy to take a ban bet on it - Parker to beat Wilder and put a nail in the coffin if it ever happens.

I agree that Wilder would KO him but I didn't see Fa rock him

At the end of round 1, Fa rocked him with a straight left, I think he rocked him again at beginning of round 6

Parker decision or Wilder knockout with equal chance of probability.
