AJ would have out-boxed him easier than he out-boxed Ruiz, AJ is a lot faster than the plodding bloated older Foreman was.

Ruiz lacks Foreman’s one punch power and in the Joshua rematch he was just as fat and out of condition as old Foreman ever was.

I do find it funny when people exalt Joshua for having beaten Ruiz (in a rematch).

I'd favor AJ over all these guys. AJ has his faults, similar to Wlad, he's not a natural fighter that avoids exchanges...but like Wlad he usually has the discipline and physical advantages to avoid exchanges. Ruiz jr is what happens if he gets caught trading.

Yeah, That’s probably Mark antman’s favourite fight as he is always using that fight as a reference.

It must be a Fan Thing, because I don't think recall the fight being all that well received... ...Respectful congratulations from his peers and such like, but not a lot of enthusiasm.

How can you say that with confidence, when he has stamina issues and Ruiz went through him?

You never seem to look at how they’d have matched up stylistically.

Tommy Morrison was never a great HW. But he had the speed, power and confidence to have caused AJ huge issues.

Some of those fast, B level HW’s of the past were extremely dangerous.

Corrie Sanders is another who springs to mind. Not an A level guy, very inconsistent and unpredictable, but also very dangerous.

Wlad was a way better HW than Sanders.

Lewis was a way better HW than both McCall and Rahman.

Yes he was way better than old foreman, who got hit way too much

Flukes can happen to anyone at heavyweight, so with a well timed punch, anyone on that list could beat AJ

People really think he'll run through that list undefeated?

Ibeabuchi and Mercer beat him ... McCall would be extremely dangerous for AJ he would have to fight him cautiously ... Same with Foreman

He's not going to beat everyone on there without taking at least 2 loses

That’s right. But as well as that, there’s also some extremely tough stylistic match ups for him on that list.

    Lots of very different styles.

He was dropped how many times by Ruiz?

Ruiz didn’t land a fluke punch in the way that Rahman did on Lewis.

Wlad also nearly had him out of there.

    He has suspect stamina.

    He doesn’t like pressure.

You’d have to be a fool to believe that he’d have beaten all of those guys without coming unstuck at some point.

Ike could outwork AJ. Those 2 wins are better than most HW's resumes today.

Was Joshua way better than the old Foreman that took prime Holyfield the distance and gave him hell in a few of those rounds? I don’t think Joshua could have survived some of those bombs that Holyfield had to take from Foreman and that Holyfield was just as fast and mobile as Joshua currently is if not faster.
