Surely at some point you've watched a fight absolutely certain in the result and while it played out almost exactly how you thought it would the other guy prevailed?

Well, do it again to prove

    A) it was no fluke

    Or

    B) the shoulder injury was just an excuse

The ball is in Lopez' court.

I think it has crossed my mind, but it's been a good while now. I think I have just learned to accept the results.

If I really think about it I think if Lewis had a rematch with V Klitscko he would have lost. However, if I think about it even more I think Lewis would have beat him in his prime.

I personally thought Chocolatito won the first fight against Wangek and thought he was robbed. However the second fight ended up being a wash for Wangek.

I think Mattyse had the edge over Danny Garcia, but the bogus knock down determined the fight. I think prime for prime they would have gone back and forth, with Mattyse getting the edge. After they went their seperate ways I feel Mattyse went to **** and Garcia has held some semblance of still being an elite minus fighter.

Margarito probably would have stopped Cotto in the second fight as he was starting to put it on him when the fight got stopped. Margarito went on to look like **** where as Cotto went on to beat Maravilla and have a competitive fight with Canelo.

What happens is that some guys lose their prime in some of these types of fights so it's hard to predict. In all those cases I think those guys could have won, but their track records after look like crap.

Agreed! Lopez should do the right thing and give that rematch. Not a good look after such a good win.

Great post..that is basically the case ..but some fights I always just think..how the **** did you win that..it hurts my head lol

Chocolatito Vs SSR I genuinely thought SSR would beat him both times....second fight is easiest money I've ever made ... 10/1 SSR stoppage... insanity

No way for AJ vs Ruiz. Even in the rematch AJ was scared to trade to trade with Ruiz.
When AJ is on his bike he can get that win. Or if he catches Ruiz clean he might get a tko.

A slimmer Ruiz that can force AJ to trade. I would put money on him to win again.

I would say Margarito vs. Sergio Martinez.
Marg fought a young inexperienced Martinez at welter. I feel if they would have fought again later on at 154 or 160 Martinez would have lit him up. But it is perhaps possible Margarito could have won, but I favor Sergio

To name a few in the Heavyweight Division, among Lineal Champions, who never fought each other again: Corbett-Fitzsimmons. Johnson-Hart. Baer-Braddock. Tyson-Douglas.

Povetkin vs Whyte. Whyte already proved this and even if they face 10 more times, it will be the same result.
