Even John Furys interview is all about what Hearn is doing. Why isnt he asking what his own team is doing?

 

I'm only 5 minutes in but why are both sides being presented with offers on Saturday when the deadline is Sunday?

Something has been off about this fight from day 1. I really don't see it happening.

 

Why would they need to if Hearn is doing it on behalf of them all?

 

John Fury's claim to fame is that he's Tyson Fury's dad.

He is allowed on BT Sport to talk because he's a good talker but he really doesn't have any say, doesn't have any direct business involvement with Tyson's management or promoters.
Maybe he fancies Eddie Hearn.

No one should take Big John Fury's words or concerns as particularly important, even when he's makling a good point.

It's weird, because we heard last summer that the whole thing had been pretty much agreed.
Now, after a further 3 or 4 months of "intense negotiating", they are facing a deadline on a newer agreement, and Hearn is saying they are still going to be weighing up 4 different site and date offers the day before the deadline !??

I'd like to believe in Eddie Hearn. But it all sounds a bit off.

Maybe it's a pantomime to generate buzz on social media and boxing press. Fight was agreed for Saudi a month ago and this is a confected drama to garner some headlines and get different locales talking about the potential of hosting a big fight.

Instead of just one round of global headlines with an announcement of the fight they get a second with the confirmation of the venue, that will lead us nicely into the Ref and judges controversy, then its who walks in first etc etc.

 

They are not enough old. Maybe 2022 th will be started new negotiations period.

 

I’m guessing they are still trying to work out a logical date due to the pandemic. It’s all very well the Saudis bidding the most but if people can’t travel due to covid then what’s the point? May aswell have it at Wembley.

I’ll give Eddie Hearn credit for at least trying to make the fight happen. If it falls through I wouldn’t be surprised just disappointed. Just think it won’t happen unless something really gets announced come the weekend
