Andy Ruiz Jr has the fastest HW hands since Mike Tyson. Outside of Louis, Patterson & Ali, I can't think of any HW with similar or faster hands than Tyson. Andy definitely has the quickest hands in the HW division today. Who do you think is quicker with their hands?

Ruiz may have some of the fastest hands for a fat guy (perhaps, only behind Tony Tubbs), but, his hands are not as fast as guys like Tyson and Patterson.

Tyson`s hand speed was insane, he was an amazing combo puncher. Louis was a faster combo puncher than Dempsey.

Ruiz has fast hands but he really isn’t freakish, he does however have excellent timing and punch selection.

Your manlove of Tyson disqualifies your opinion. Dempsey was faster than Louis and Patterson. Holmes was super fast. Many were faster than fatboy ruiz.

Tubbs was as quick as Ruiz, Tubbs was the only one in the 80`s that could keep up with Tyson`s hand speed.

Ruiz jr was not even as fast as Joshua or Parker.

When he was younger he had quick hands for a fat man, but nothing mind blowing.

    This place....it's weird.

lol, his hands were quicker than AJ`s in their first bout, you could see that, his punches are very short they don`t travel far, his counters come very quick, he couldn`t counter AJ in the rematch because of all AJ`s movement, AJ was very wary of punching Ruiz because of the fast counters despite Ruiz being even heavier in that rematch.

No. You can't see it because for three rounds
AJ was beating Ruiz to the punch. That's exactly what happened in the first knock down on the inside. Even with his short arms, Ruiz was losing the left hook battle.

I'm not impressed with Ruiz as a counter puncher, what he does at his best is "take a punch, to land a punch" That's what beat AJ.

Ruiz won the exchanges because he's more durable and keeps punching where as AJ....well don't like to exchange. The one knockdown in Round 7 happened after both men threw a left hook. AJ's again is quicker and lands first. But Ruiz just takes it and hits keeps punching where as AJ got caught admiring his own work.

0:40...it's clear who has faster hands. Ruiz can't even react it's so fast.

I will say by the time of the stoppage AJ was gassed out and clearly slowing while Ruiz jr has better stamina, pacing, and never slowed. Ruiz also throws lots of clubbing blows which by their nature are slower.
