Now in 2021 is there anyone that can name a boxer that they genuinely believe weighing under 200 pounds could beat any of the following:

    Lennox Lewis
    Wladimir Klitschko
    Vitali Klitschko
    Anthony Joshua
    Tyson Fury

Sam Langford would win at least a couple times I think. One of the Klits and Joshua for sure, and maybe Fury.

Ali at 195 lbs or whatever he weighed before he matured into a full 200+ lbs heavyweight ...

Marciano has a good chance against Anthony Joshua and possibly Wladimir Klitschko ..

Earnie Shavers might get a good shot in against a young Wladimir Klitschko ... But I doubt he does anything after Klitschko teamed up with Steward ...

Holyfield at cruiser would give hell to any of those guys ... He might even beat one of them ...

it's not "the Weight"... it's the HEIGHT & REACH, these men are SUPER - Heavyweights, it's a different Division.

to answer the question, there are dozens of TOP HWs, who typical weighed 190lbs - 225lbs and stood, 5' 11" - 6' 3", that were superior and could beat them. yes.

but 99% of the time it's not happening, because MWs don't beat HWs, Welterweights don't beat Light-Heavyweights, generally speaking..

the disparity is too far, it's a Different Division, period.

You think Langford could beat Fury?

The only one I see possible is Ali and Holyfield. I personally see no way how Marciano is able to overcome 17 inches of reach, nearly a foot in height and anywhere as big as 80+ pounds of Fury or Joshua. Physical stats is just too much. No one expects a strawweight to beat a middleweight and that's less than the difference between Fury/Joshua and Marciano.

That's what I find crazy though, no expects a strawweight to beat a middleweight which they wouldn't yet people believe that Marciano or Dempsey could beat Joshua, Lewis, Klitschko or Fury when the weight difference between all them is even more than a strawweight and a middleweight for example.

No but Valuev was a lumbering oaf who looks like he had trouble moving, could a flyweight beat a light heavyweight?

    sure, why not? Jack Johnson refused to fight him when they were in their prime; Fury never fought a guy as small as Langford;
how could he punch down to that height? Would be interesting anyway.

The amount of talented fighters that fought and thrived at heavyweight, who weighed in under 200 or even 190 is pretty vast. I like all the guys listed above, but the idea that these guys are somehow unbeatable to lighter fighters is crazy. Just to name a few Walcott, Dempsey, Archie Moore, Curtis Sheppard, Jack Sharkey, Jerry Quarry, etc... could give the guys listed above all sorts of trouble.

I mean- Curtis Sheppard could beat them all in a street fight? Curtis was shot in the head over a dispute in return so he overpowered the guy an killed him. similar scenario in prison the guy was hit in the head with a pipe from behind, Curt was left with a visible dent in his skull so what does he do... just gets up and ice picks the guy to death.

But in the ring? I dunno I just wanted to share these stories I read.
