At this point, it's beginning to sound like a Ponzi scheme.

Can someone get one totally deluded Saudi prince to cough up $80 to $100 million to cover the fighters' guarantees ... so Matchroom can say they have the money and keep all parties from bailing ...

Even though the fight isn't worth that much and there won't be a gate or US PPV sales, which would normally account for the bulk of that money for a fight like this ...

And they have to hope enough Brits pay 29.99 to at least make it look like it wasn't a complete financial scam and they can all save face and maybe salvage a rematch down the road sometime.

But the truth is all the British boxing fans in the UK won't buy enough PPVs for the "biggest fight ever" to cover what one Saudi prince is being asked to pay.

I kind of hope they pull it off - from the pure treachery aspect. And I'd rather see Fury and Joshua fight each other than most others. But, it all seems very "Ponzi-like" at the moment.

Fury been crying about inactivity, being out of shape and everything else, for months... but he’s the one who really wants the fight......yeah.
Some of you fanboys just love to **** your own mind, it’s so much easier than dealing with reality.

LOL Sun Tzu, never engage in a battle unless you are certain of victory. AJ knows Fury has been inactive. Not AJ's fault for that. If AJ can keep Fury inactive for even longer, it will improve his chances of Victory. Fury needs to wipe the beer foam from his lips and coke from his nose and get to it or he will be put to sleep by AJ.

Both the fighters want the fight.
They 'agreed terms' and are already training for it.

    Fury is in great shape.
Inactivity is real though, that's why he won't wait around forever.

It's really not difficult to understand.

What's with this spelling of his name as Hearnz? Is this meant to be funny?

Look, you obviously worship Fury but try and be a little bit objective eh? There's no evidence that Hearn and Joshua are stalling, absolutely none. If there is, let's see it. All I hear is Tyson and his dad saying that the fight isn't going to happen. Is it Eddie Hearn's fault that Fury never took a tune up fight in December? The Takam fight was all ready to go, 99% confirmed according to Takam's management. Why didn't Fury take the fight? He would have fairly easily and it would have kept him busy.

Both fighters want the fight - I’m amazed people are so naive they believe that world class prize fighters are ‘scared’ of each-other. It’s such a weird point of view but posters always get titillated by it.

The issue is greed and ego of both fighters and promotions.

Hearnz and Joshua ducked wilder you forgot that?

Fury was willing to fight Joshua last december instead of Pulev yet eddie and josh didnt even entertain it.

The evidence they are stalling is their track record of ducking fights why has hearn not come up with a venue like last week like he promised?

Why dont they just be honest with the fans and they say they dont want the fight now?

Joshua was scared of Wilders right hand but Fury was not he fought he while he was out the ring for 3 year although joshua maybe more confident in fighting Wilder now after Fury damaged him

Fury could have fought Kabayal last December. No reason for him to be inactive.

The fight will happen but I reckon it might not be until autumn.

I don't necessarily think Joshua himself was 'scared' of Wilder - I find that all very childish. I think it's possible that Matchroom were reluctant to take the risk though.

He could've done and wanted to. It sounds like the issue came from his promotion (probably due to the finances from his deal with ESPN) rather than Fury.

Pretty sure Wilder admitted to ducking him not too long back.

Did they duck Wilder. Pretty sure it was the other way round and Wilder even alluded to that in a tweet.

To be fair, Joshua had to fight Pulev or be stripped of one of the belts. It was never on for last December, which is why Fury was almost signed to fight Takam instead. Why didn't he? Or at least find another opponent? I think one of the issues is Top Rank want the last 2 Fury fights to be massive showdowns against Joshua so they can get their monies worth. They haven't really so far. Yes the Wilder TKO was great but the other 2 fights haven't exactly set the world alight.
