There's a strong possibility neither of them want this fight. That is most likely. Wilder will fight some D-level or E-level bum or worse on regular TV as a comeback fight, and Whyte will fight some C-level 'world ranked' guy in a hyped match on PPV for lots of money. Wilder will complain that Fury is ducking him. Whyte will complain that Fury and Wilder are ducking him. Real boxing fans don't really care much about seeing Whyte against Fury, and certainly don't care much about seeing Wilder against Fury for the 3rd time. And Whyte-Wilder is a decent fight, but probably not quite as interesting as Ruiz-Wilder which is somewhat more likely to happen. Whyte v Parker 2 makes the most sense, as far as Dillian's career is concerned. Evenly matched, unfinished business, the first one had some drama to it. Not sure why it hasn't happened yet.
The fight that was turned down was Whyte turning down AJ (when Ruiz stepped in and beat him) for a career high purse and a shot at the world title. His excuse being he didnt like the terms of the rematch clause (Didn't complain about the same clauses after Povetkin had slept him) Why would Ruiz step in at short notice to fight AJ but not fight Whyte. Nobody is ducking Whyte, he just isnt as important as he (and you) seem to think he is. The world of boxing does not revolve around MR.
I think we’ll see Whyte fight Trevor Bryan for the ‘regular’ WBA world title... if Don King allows it to happen.
Whyte - Wilder would be a cracker, don't think it would last more than 5 rounds - a concussive puncher with dodgy chin and unstable mentality against an easy to hit but tough and strong contender. But as others have said a more likely fight is Whyte against Trevor Bryan for a fake world title which will be promoted relentlessly by Eddie and SSN as a legit world title fight. Easy money.
Pudding Whyte has accumulated a serious number of PPV Loot Sacks and you would think the latest sham of a fight would make the PPV Mugths wake up but they never learn. Pedvetkin should never have been near a boxing ring and lucky he was not fighting a huge puncher like Wilder.
Nobody is ducking Whyte ffs. Whyte must have turned down 5 decent fighters then gets his violin out with a little help from Fast Car and he's somehow lauded as the most avoided man in boxing. Publicly calls Joshua out after the Chisora fight = turns down the Joshua fight citing money and rematch clauses, only to fight Rivas in front of a half empty O2 months later and inserts his own rematch clauses into other fights. All this after turning down an IBF elimiator which would have made him mandatory for Joshua. Whinges he hasn't had the WBC shot = turns down final eliminators against Ortiz and Breazeale, who both went on to fight Wilder. It's not rocket science. The man is an absolute fraud.
Hearn said Trevor Bryan and the winner of Franklin vs Shaw are potential opponents for Whyte. Disspointing if true, this sort soft cherry pick Fury has done since coming out retirement and Wilder did his entire career. I don't expect this from Whyte.
Well Wilder picked Fury as a cherry pick gone wromg as he looked still out of shape in Pianetta fight. Was ordered to fight the rematch so had no choice but to fight Fury again. I was more reffering to in Wilder's case Stiverne rematch, Scott, Arreola, Spzilka, Duhaupas, Ortiz, Molina, Breazeale and Washington. In Fury's case turning down offers against superiror fighters to fight Schwarz and Wallin. I think Fury gets a pass for Seferi and Pianetta as he was getting back into shape.
Had Fury not fought Schwarz and Wallin before the second Wilder fight would he have dealt with the Alabama man as confidently and efficiently as he did? I very much doubt it, he fine tuned his skills and his body in that time with a new trainer and we saw the result, a man many thought couldn't be beaten because of his ridiculous equaliser got absolutely destroyed and had to be pulled out of there for his own safety.
Well, Fury was coming out from very controversial and suspicious draw in Wilder's hometown and did not had belt. For fight on cards there are expenses and how much Fury might had get from this fights, depends also from purse his opponent should recieve. A-B = C. Wallin as not well known most likely was considerably cheaper than other variants and with this Fury's purse for this fight might had been increased if his opponent was cheaper to book fight with him. Nothing special and a lot of ppl in europe who are not from U.K and aren't gypsy ppl think that Wilder's draw was robbed on cards in U.S Fury nothing else. BTW really this is thing that had been told even by some A.J fans who does not likes Fury.
Wilder : Fury, Breazeale, Ortiz, Fury Fury : Wilder, Schwarz, Wallin, Wilder Wilder's last four are pretty good. Breazeale was a bum but Wilder did him in 1 round anyway. Fury's last four are pretty good too, considering he deserved TWO wins against Wilder and battered him the second time. Schwarz was a bum but Fury smashed him in 2. Wallin was an unknown but proved to be decent. What "spin" ? The guy said Wilder and Fury have both been cherry-picking, but that's impossible because you can't really have a two-way cherry-pick. If one was cherry picking the other, the other must be taking a very risky fight at the very least !
yeah, there were only 14 months between the two Wilder fights anyway, and people want to rip into Fury for having two "tune ups". He basically outboxed Wilder in December 2018, and battered him to bits in February 2020, (sustaining a bad cut against Wallin along the way) and people want to rip him to pieces for not taking on top 5 opponents in between. Wilder was ranked top 2 or 3 both times and was favoured to win by the odds both times.
