Is Golovkin in the HOF ?

I say this as someone who is not a fan and often highly critical of Golovkin. I'd be shocked if he wasn't a first of second ballot HOF'er.

 

I'd just wish he'd been involved in more high profile fights. Monroe Jnr, Wade even Brook to a lesser extent were a bit of a waste of time.
A lot of his opposition is just meh and unfortunately he was never given a win over Canelo and he should have at least 1 clearly and probably the 2nd fight as well.

 

There's no more high profile fight in boxing than fighting Saúl Canelo Álvarez. He was never given a win because he never deserved a win. He was lucky to get that draw. Canelo bested him both time, everyone knows that. Few are willing to admit it.

 

Based on accomplishments - third longest middleweight champion, 19 defenses of the belt, good resume and being a very skilled operator who has great power in both hands, GGG is a lock for HOF. Although the biggest detriment to his legacy is not having a win over a great fighter.

In reality he had beated Clenbuterelo Horsemeat and had get robbed on Vegas cards for a horsemeat local tickets seller.
No one will beat Buterelo unless he will knock him out cold.
Only Floyd Jr. might get fair cards in Vegas vs Buterelo Horsemeat cos he very big surname in Nevada and Vegas is.

While Buterelo always is officiated in Vegas and when he fought another boxer, blown up welterweight all these comments: Buterelo moved in the ring, Ohh, Ohh, WoW.
Buterelo threw punch, Ohh, WoW. Buterelo is so cool despite he missed.
Buterelo landed on gloves? Cool, Buterelo is KING, cool Buterelo.

Canelo is his biggest victory. A guy who already lost 3-4 fights before he enter the ring vs GGG. This shows how weak GGG resume is.

 

On the contrary, the vast majority of the public, media, and fighters had GGG winning both fights.

Fight one is a clear GGG win.
The 2nd one is closer but i still thought GGG won.
Unfortunately the judges robbed GGG, i like em both didn't care who won but the scoring leaves a sour taste and tarnishes GGG achievements unfairly.

No. That's just wrong. GGG beat Alvarez clearly the first time and the draw was reasonable the second time though I thought Canelo edged it.

The officiating on the first one was horrible and that 1 judge was more incompetent than the other 2 doesn't excuse them. We ain't grading on a curve here.

GGG got jobbed the first time.

 

I think GGG is absolutely HOF-worthy. GGG from 2012-2016 would have had an *excellent* chance of beating ANY middleweight in history at their prime - and I'm including guys like Hagler and Roy Jones Jr in my assessment.

And, IMO, I felt he beat Canelo both times (though the 2nd fight was reasonably-close)

It's true that GGG hasn't landed a lot of truly-great opponents. But maybe one measure of greatness is the caliber of opponent who is *not* willing to fight you. It doesn't make for an exciting sport, but the logic there is hard to deny.

 

If GGG resume is bad, buterelo reusme too is interesting.
He had fought hopeless old journeymans on loosing streak.
