The only evidence that Khan is still a star in the UK is that he starred in I`m a celebrity get me out of her and got paid more appear on that reality show a few years ago than any other celeb that has appeared in that crap, he`s a bigger star than any celeb that has appeared in that reality show ecept for Katie Price, Khan was also floored by Vargas and looked awful in that bout, I think he sacked Gosen after that fight.

Khan hasn`t put many peope down at welter and all his movement prevents him from being able to put much on his shots, Khan always gets caught because of his fundamentals and has been knocked out by a lightweight, Brook would be a much tougher fight for Benn and has to much experience.

....that's the reason why Benn wasn't shouting down Brook's name last night.

We didn't learn much from this fight. Not conors fault although a step up in class, Vargas was just to fragile.

I wanted Conor to do well and have a successful career, mainly cos I was a fan of his dad.

Conor's got an exciting style. The take one to give one approach but he needs to have a good chin and good power for that to work, I'm not sure he does. He's probably going to win a few and lose a few. No shame in not being world class. Not everyone can be.

    It
It's his name more than his current ability, if Benn blows him away he becomes a household UK boxing name. This fight would bring Benn more recognition amongst the casuals.

This has big Oscar De La Hoya saying Canelo "would give me a frightful beating if we fought in our primes!" energy.

Definitely not as likeable as his old man but he's a decent boxer.

Khan is the perfect fight. A fighter that beat Vargas. A big name in the UK. A step up in experience.

Brook doesn't fight at that weight anymore, he looks like the reaper cutting to 147. Not sure why hes getting brought up.

Lol to be fair it's a good matchup for him, you know it'd sell very well to the UK audience.

Khan can punch hard enough to get your attention. Combine that with his hand speed and flurries and he can keep you off of him and make you gun shy.

Not saying Khan would win against Benn at this stage but the guy does deserve some respect. He came up hard, got KO'd early, won a title at a young age and made impressive defences and got some good wins.

CB did far better than I expected but, seriously, he's not a baby, already marginally older than say Michael Watson was when he KO'ed Benn sr.

Especially fighting in that weight class, if he's going to prove himself to be better than his dad it'll have to be soon.

Khan is quite known but not as famous in the UK as he thinks he is, Hamed wa far bigger during the 90`s, I remember Khan actually complaining about this when he was managed by Warren blaming his lack of popularity on him being of Pakistan descent.

Nigel was at this level by around the age of 24:This ensured a rapid rise through the professional ranks and during this time, Benn won the vacant Commonwealth middleweight title with a second round win over Abdul Umaru, at Alexandra Pavilion on 20 April 1988.
