I think this shows once again that the ladies can put an entertaining scrap on. It clearly comes down to the matchmaking imo just like with the men I don't want to see some butch hardly ever boxed before woman who normally works on the doors of a nightclub get beat up by some former classy Olympic amateur. It looks awful and it just gives people ammo to shoot women's boxing down. Plus it's taking air time away from the lads in the small halls who have grafted and earned that opportunity.

They should just televise the competitive world title fights imo.

Yeah I think the fact that they were both flawed but had plenty of heart made for an entertaining fight, World Title worthy it was not though but we all know that. If either of them went in with someone worthy of a World Title, genuinely worthy, we wouldn't be seeing many selfies from them on Instagram for a few weeks after.

Matchroom haven't treated Rachel Ball right.

She has had a long layoff with Covid / illness / injury and now will fight Courtenay who has fought twice since their first fight.

I don't know why she isn't on the Chisora Parker card.

Matchroom will still make her fight Courtenay next and not give her a warm-up fight

That will b her and her teams choice. She was scheduled to fight twice but things happen. I don't think she's even training at the moment. The Courtney fight will always b their as she holds a win over the champ

Just watching this now, and I'll agree with everyone else who's said it's an entertaining fight. Two people who are really going for it.

Adam Smith keeps going on a out how Courtenay was a 'wild child' coz she liked a drink when she was younger, he'd probably describe me as an 'uncontrollable beast who could not be tied down in his cellar', so it's all relative I suppose.

    Decent fight, all being told.

It will be interesting to see if she can fight again. Nobody knows the long term effects of covid, she might never fully recover to reach that standard again.

Povetkin a good example of a fighter suffering from Covid who certainly should never have been near a ring.

You are correct that there are some top sportsmen/women out there who caught Covid and will never get anywhere near fulfilling their potential now.

Especially not within a few months, it might take time to get where they once were, but then again, 41 year old puddings haven't got that luxury when loot's to be had.

Good fight tbf. Not a fan of womans boxing but fights like last night can only push it forward. Great build up

.even scrap...both woman giving it their all...no sign of quit in either.

People moan about the story telling but made that fight much more interesting. 25 pages of comments and very little of it was boxing analysis....from a group that just want it to be boxing with no storytelling. Surprisingly most of the comments we,re about everything but boxing. Good crack. But reckon a lot of people not being honest with themselves regarding wanting just no frills boxing.

Fingers crossed she makes a full recovery and gets the correct time to prepare for her opportunity.

    Great Post.

The narcissistic traits displayed by some people these days can definitely help them, my managers at work are useless but their lack of self awareness has seen them go further than they ever should, there is no way that they would be where they were if they could see past the end of their noses.

Bridges won't get another title shot, that was her ceiling.
