Liston and Foreman were the same thing ... Let's be honest, Mike isn't any more intimidating or scary than they were ... And they didn't beat Ali mentally.

But I'm surprised that Ali has a commanding lead in the poll ...

2 completely different fighters compared to Mike Tyson. Honestly, neither Ali nor Tyson would be intimidated by each other. The pre-fight verbal lashings they dish out on each other would've been the greatest **** talking hype of all time.

It would be the greatest fight of all time. Period.

I honestly see it as 50/50 with a slight edge to Ali but Ali is running away with it in the poll

Ali's pre-fight taunts would get him smacked in the mouth immediately. Foreman, Liston, and Frazier were self- conscious men, not comfortable with verbal warfare or being in the spotlight. Tyson wasn't shy or self-conscious at all. If Ali mocked him in public I don't think Mike would hesitate in knocking or wrestling Ali to the floor.

    It's all part of it

Ali smacked Terrell in the face ... Holmes smacked Ali ... Frazier and Ali wrestled in a TV studio ... As did Rahman and Lewis ....

What good is it if a fighter doesn't have "toughness" or "stamina?" Two of the most important components in a fighters make-up!!! You can have the jab...the footwork...the style...but if you don't have toughness and stamina...why bother?

Tyson, in his best day of course, has a very underrated stamina, what i meant is it wasn't as good as Frazier's or marciano's. The post Rooney tyson's stamina however was as bad as Morrison's

Muhammad Ali by late rounds stoppage.

A very evenly matched fight in the early stages but once Ali makes it obvious to Tyson that it's going to be a long night,Mike starts to get discouraged. It's been rightly said that Joe Frazier would have been a tough fight for even the 1967 incarnation of Muhammad but that's not necessarily an indication of how this hypothetical bout with 'Iron Mike' would go. For a start,Frazier never got discouraged even when Ali was hitting him with all sorts of devastating shots. Even Foreman's nuclear bombs could n't KEEP him down. Secondly, they were n't quite the same stylewise. Joe was at his best shortrange hitting on the inside while Tyson was more of a mid range boxer. This would n't be the same sort of pressure that Ali got from Joe.

Good points. It's a bit annoying when Tyson is held up as a Frazier 2.0. Yes, he was superior to Frazier in several ways, but Frazier also had advantages over him and they weren't identical stylistically just because both were short swarmers.

Not at all. Morrisson would have been worn out way before the 10th if he took the kind of punishment from Douglas that Tyson did. I also think he would have faltered in a fight like the Ruddock rematch. Tyson took bombs and kept giving it to Razor. I don't think Morrison could have in the same way.

The only prediction I'd care to make is that the first 5 rds would be very important. If Tyson either hasn't won by then or at least has the clear initiative in the fight, I think Ali will take it. But Tyson would be very dangerous in those early rounds.

Personally, while I picked Ali to win, I don't think Ali's pre-fight talk will do him a bit of good. In fact it'll only make the fight harder & increase his chances of getting KO'ed. Biggs & Holmes trashed talked Tyson before the fight & paid the price for it. These guys had a similar style to Ali, so it's not hard to envision Tyson solving Ali's riddle.
