Got a lot of respect for Patel.
He is a crap boxer and he's full of **** but he's fought all over the world. Maybe mainly because he doesn't want to compete against UK fighters and be exposed, but still it's impressive to travel so much, it's old school.

Doesn't looks that he does have enough experience because a lot of boxers he had fought had bad records.

I still want this guy to do well.
Just to **** people off more than anything.

 

Yeah, he's definately fought a who's who of who's but, his record looks good on paper and he has a decent KO ratio so he's panning out his career kind of like a low weight Deontay Wilder.

All he needs now is to face his 'Jason Gavern' to get a world title shot against a paper champion and hell, he may just surprise us all, at which point he elevates himself to a whole new level of unbearable........ Can't wait!

 

The guy is flying out to these countries on his own, fighting with some locals put in his corner, no trainer, no team.
Possibly because no one here wants to work with him but still, that's old school impressive.

Not blowing smoke up his arse, just saying it's impressive to get on a 'plane and arrive in some strange country for a fight, on your own.

Most little guys would **** their pants going to Africa or Hungary or Egypt. A lot of little guys are afraid to walk across London at night, nevermind fly to Accra or Budapest on their own for a professional fight.

Listen to some of the big name fighters and their excuses when they don't get all their luxuries and perfect conditions.

he's not wrong, that was a blatant blow to the back of the head, in the opening seconds of the fight.

 

Budapest isn't so wild. If you use " good " parts of city it will be like Bruxelles or Vienna.
They also are in EU and NATO, a lot of foreign tourists before covid stuff started in the world.
Africa ofc is different thing, in Hungary if you came to box or as tourist, you feel like more close to Austria regards to security and attitude from officials.
Hungary also had held a lot of international competitions and championships in plenty of different sports. Large international scale exibitions, conferences. They looks that does have intent to become more like Austria or Germany.

 

Let's be honest, the main reason he's not fighting over here is because he's disrespectful, he upsets a lot of people.

Any promoter over here could import the same bums he's fighting abroad and build him that same record in front of UK crowds, and have him on UK television for several of those fights. And he's marketable.

But clearly no one in the professional game here can tolerate him.
