What if Margarito was never caught guilty. We might be looking at one of the ATG mexican fighters here. He's had a lot of backlash yet a lot of punitive restrictions/ fines. Just what if brother Naseem had never found those wraps? Matter of fact what if the commission found them non dangerous? How would the scenario go? Let's debate this,...

I think he would have been stronger mentality in the Mosely fight. He went in there with lots on his mind, but leave it to Mosley to close the show in Grand fashion (like Mayorga, hurting Floyd, etc).

Cotto propably never would've had to rematch him... PAC would've caught an L and also he probably would have a lot more fans instead of being a tragic hero.

Some people claim he was innocent, but what if he WAS innocent? His rep would be a lot better, some might agree he was indicted falsely. But anyway it's not a good look, it is sad. And I wish him well because he did his time, took his Lumps, and is accordingly called the wraps guy which probably hurts on a certain level. Your thoughts?

Like I said, he's done his time. Plus he's been slandered to death in the view of boxing fans... Scrutinized by the pundits and afficinados alike.

the commission did find them non dangerous, thats why they couldnt charge him with anything besides using a used pad instead of a new one, like the rules say.

If you watch his career from early on, I think it's fairly obvious when he started loading his gloves. Without loaded gloves he was quite ineffective. I would've put the guy in jail. Dude I have the most sympathy for is Kermit Cintron. Dude got smashed twice in title fights against loaded gloves. Irrepairable damage to his career.

He did absolutely nothing after he was caught, his biggest accomplishments were hurting a former flyweight to the body despite losing every round and being tough in the Cotto rematch despite again, losing every round. He's a walking punching bag without the wraps, with the wraps he's a punching bag with a punch.

I don't know how you can go from the biggest win in your career with a handful of world-class victories and being dubbed the baddest man in boxing to being the joke we saw post scandal. You telling me he looked subpar with 0 power post wraps simply because his feelings were hurt?

Years later? The man got beat up by a 40 year old shot former Lightweight champion as SOON as he got caught cheating. Him and his trainer were caught breaking the rules and has done absolutely nothing since. To put it in perspective, a shot drug addicted Ricardo Mayorga did better against Mosley and a post Marg and Pac Cotto who had a quarter of the punch resistance he used to have.

he fought a year and a half after moseley against a middle weight, then half a year after that. pac was 2 years after moseley. yet you are surprised a 33 yo welter didnt bulldoze a mw and an atg welter?

It's just the same old cavalcade of Jealous Jeremy's and Envious Eugene's still bitter about the fact that they can't grow a magical Mexican mullet like Marg's or take a pop on their glass whiskers like he can.

No **** he had no other choice, he was banned from the sport for a year for breaking the rules :duh. He fought and looked bad vs a journeyman he was heavily favored to beat in his first fight back then proceeded to lose every round vs Pac and a lesser version of Cotto with abysmal punch resistance and the rest is history.. Cottos punch resistance was So abysmal that a pillow fisted Mayweather with clown gloves on at 154 almost knocked him out.:lol:

so then yes, you expect a welterweight in his 30s who has taken as much career punishment as ive seen any welter take, maybe youve seen more, get destroyed by ko, in his 30's, then come back and beat a middleweight a year and a half later, and then beat an atg welterweight half a year after that. and if he doesnt, it means he was loading his gloves up till that point. is this the level youre youre investigating this at? or did i miss something?
oh, and i almost forgot. while hes doing all this amazing stuff, he is doing it as an unskilled face first plodder who is just lucky to be able to take a punch....because thats what ive always said about him.
