Yes. But why should he wait for September ? There's no good reason why he should wait for September to have his next fight. And there's no good reason to even trust that it will happen in September. You seem to love all this messing about, love the idea of Fury walking away to actually, y'know, FIGHT someone. You criticize him for not being a "fighting man" but how could you possibly be happy about him having to wait another 5 months for his next fight?
Assuming nothing is confirmed publicly until the Canelo fight week. Lots of US media there + UK seems ideal. Ignore all the fun and games designed to keep story rumbling on
Thing is, I never really thought it would happen this year anyway. They'll very possibly string it out until both of them are old and well past it. I'm still hoping to be proved wrong with an announcement any day now, but I'm a bit of a sucker.
If true this reminds me of Wilder getting Fury to fight so soon after his return in the hope that he could catch a rusty out of shape Fury. If the fight happens in September then Tyson will have been out of the ring for 18 months. If this is the case I expect it backfire on AJ and Eddie same way it backfired on Wilder.
Do we know whether the WBO set a deadline for this fight to take place or for the mandatory to happen?
Normally the British Forum is quite good for back and forth discussion. Considering that this is a boxing forum, that's an odd response, but unfortunately seems to be your modus operandi. You're like a Joshua spambot that malfunctions anytime someone responds.
I think the idea behind Schwarz and Wallin was to build momentum for Wilder 2. It would then be either Joshua or Wilder 3. They can't drop back down now.
100%. Uncle Bob wants his money back. Fury should have taken a pay cut and fought in December so i have no sympathy for him
I hate it when people go through fighters resumes and pick them apart. You could literally make anyone’s resume appear bad if you wanted to. Or when people put the blame on the fighter for fighting and beating a mandatory.
Would he have been able to do that though? The impression I am under is that the contract pays a total sum of $X Million. He gets a portion of this with each fight - so naturally ESPN want him fighting opponents that justify the outlay. Could be completely wrong but that's how I understood it - hence why he couldn't fight a Takam or whoever in December.
Both Hearn and Fury posted the new stadium in Vegas on their instagram stories yesterday. Hopefully more than a coincidence would much rather it be there over the Middle East
This is only guesswork, though. I think fans get too bogged down in trying to keep up with these negotiations when they literally don't have a clue as to what's happening.
Ive been given tickets for Sunday's semi final. You have to get a lateral flow test within 24 hours prior to KO and another one 5 days after the game.
