Dave Allen retires

Why would Allen be meeting with anyone other than Hearn? He was a win against David Price away from main eventing a PPV, and it’s not going to be the biggest salvage job in the world to get him back in that position again over the next 12-18 months.

 

I know Hearn was rather glad that he was stepping away from the support because despite Allen being as tough as he is, there's only so many times you can take a fight after getting off the sofa 2 weeks prior before it impacts on your health.

So maybe Hearn has said he's not being apart of it?

It’s now confirmed, and he’s going with Dennis Hobson. He says in the article if he went with Hearn he’d be quickly into a big fight whereas he’d rather take his time and build himself up.

I mean, we knew it would be short but this was a very short lived retirement.

 

I thought he was retiring after suffering issues with his vision and headaches? I thought his sparring video with Usyk was his way of signing off saying that he didn't remember any of it? I thought.......this is yet another joke, I just want him to go away, he's playing at boxing.

 

He's not winning that British title unless there's a Bubonic Plague.
