Who hits harder, Anthony Joshua or Deontay Wilder?

AJ is a better overall boxer but Wilder has more power. It’s difficult to really tell because Wilder has fought much lower level opposition. I’m hoping to see these guys fight someday. I know many fans don’t give Wilder much of a chance but he’s athletic and carries his weight late into fights. It’s highly possible AJ will just box him like he did Fat Andy and jab him all night. Not entertaining but safe. That’s what I’d expect if they fought. Not the most exciting matchup but he could neutralize Wilder’s power with this approach.

 

Wilder clearly IMO. Wilder's power is only really in his right (or maybe it only seems like that because he rarely lands clean with left hand power shots). Joshua has power in both hands and can knock you out with almost every punch, but I think the power in Wilder's best right hand shot is much bigger than the power in both Joshua's best left and right handed shots.

 

He does have best results vs enough for him old opponents.
Parker was not enough old for him, Ruiz too.

 

Difference is one is like being hit with bullet from a rifle the other is being hit with a heavy big hammer.

 

I have always felt AJ lays out Beyoncé.

 

If you asked me to lay money down on this one, I’d have to agree with you. AJ has more tools, better experience, much better fundamentals and he has KO power. Maybe not as much power as Wilder but he’s got legit HW power and is capable of knocking out anyone at the weight. Wilder is dangerous but I think AJ is too smart to get caught with a bomb. I’d much rather see this fight than Fury Wilder 3. Who knows if wilder will ever fight on the big stage again.

AJ doesn’t get the respect he deserves on this site but he’s a champion for a reason. My respect for him increased after the second Ruiz fight because he showed great discipline. Wasn’t an exciting fight but he moved well and showed decent boxing skills. I expect the upcoming Fury fight to be a good one, competitive.

 

Look at the Breazeale fight and you see who hits harder.

AJ could never floor and finish DB with one shot like this!

 

He should had Ruiz III fight too after this and only then Pulev.
Also good if he had fought vs Usyk.

His resume is full with old uncles.
Maybe he is good and he also for me looks nice lad.
