Made up. It’s a big birthday of mine on Sat but I refuse to do anything while the world is like this. I’m waiting until it’s over for some unmonitored fun. Anyway, I was very excited for this and saw at as saving my birthday a bit. Be arsed staying up or setting an alarm on Sunday though, as I’m up at 4:15 on Monday as well. This has made my day haha. Come on Williams. I think he’ll probably lose but his improvements have been vast so I’m crossing my fingers. I’ve been his biggest critic over his fights with Smith, particularly the second one but I still give him a chance.
Don’t rate Andrade anywhere near as highly as I did a few years back but I think it’s stylistically a very difficult fight for Williams
I would love Williams to put it on him and get the win but unfortunately I think he will only have little pockets of success...not enough to win more than 2-3 rounds anyway. Andrade is underwhelming but he has levels and can adapt and up his game. Williams brings one game plan and one pace imo.
Are both guys genuine lefties? Williams will need a bit more guile in this fight some feints etc to try and preempt Andrade taking a step back and be wary of the straight counters
Andrade aura reminds me a bit like Callum Smith. I think he's good but not as good as people think he is or can be. If he was really really elite good, we'd of seen that type of performance by now. I remember hearing it with Smith, he fights to his opponents level whenever he had a flat performance but really he just was a bit one dimensional. In that sense I see the same with Andrade, I've yet to see him do anything different then what he's currently shown (which has been good albeit against average opposition). Andrade is also 33 years old and has been ridiculously inactive. Williams is in the ascendancy and is in great form at this weight. Reminds me of Ryder vs Smith. I think this will be a lot closer then people think. If I'm wrong I'm wrong and I normally favour the boxer over a power fighter, I just don't think Andrade is as good as people think. Based on the odds, Williams is the pick here. I'd go with an outright williams victory, wait for odds to drift a little more.
As much as I'd love Williams to win, I think Andrade will be too skilled & tricky for him and will win. It will be a competitive fight, nonetheless, and I won't be too surprised if Williams gets the win to be honest.
