@Serge Agree about Fedsov being robbed in the Whitaker fight. The Jennings-Fedosov bout was competitive until Andrey got hurt...and we know Jennings can be caught. Who knows how the remainder of the fight would have played out.

Fedosov more or less destroyed the careers of Mario Heredia (once up on a time a pretty promising prospect...had he kept his weight in check) and Donovan Dennis. They did not look the same after their fights with Andrey!

Not sure what you getting at with Vyacheslav Glazkov, though. I think Glazkov is technically still signed to Main Events - but it's been five years since he last fought. Even if that knee injury would not prevent him from coming back - it seems like he isn't interested.

Fedosov remains a dangerous gatekeeper - which is to say he will struggle to get fights. I suspect he only got this one because HW is very crowded and Majidov's people realized that their fighter is not young and needed to do something very quickly to make a case for himself

I would like to see at what time those two "Fedosov stoppage" votes came in.

When I looked just before the fight, not a single person had got it right, here.

Would like to see Fedesov in against a ranked name soon. A guy like Yoka.

IB usually pretty punctual with his cut off times for polls.

Sorry I missed this post. Just to clarify. I didn't write that it's a copy and paste from an article on another site.

What a pity. Honestly I don't see Majidov coming back with the pros. Looked like a very nasty injury....

snapping your ankle at 35 when you don’t even have a ranking as a professional and are only on your 6th fight. That is all she wrote for him.

He was very well paid as an amateur, so has made decent money from the sport.

Yeah, stick a fork in Majidov (but preferably not in his right knee; that'd just be cruel).

He started boxing 10 years too late chasing dumb, unpaid, amateur glory just to get plaudits back home and maybe a shiny gold medal at olympics (assuming he didn't get robbed of home).

If you're in a young man's sport, then start young.

I am 35 years old now. Physically I feel and look great but I would get my head punched in by someone 10 years younger than me.

Yeah, that is no 'lucky shot' - no more so than was Povetkin's uppercut on Whyte.

The part with the ankle snapping is an unfortunate (for Majidov) fluke, sure, but subtract that from the overall equation and just that one KD alone shows that Fedosov a) had the timing and accuracy to land on Majidov and b) the power to slam him bodily on the canvas with a simple two-piece. There's enough in that one moment to extrapolate that Fedosov was going to win with or without the injury incurred by Majidov.

He ranged from a 9/1 to double those odds as underdog. Just goes to show that ofttimes bookmakers DKSAB and can a) fall into hype pitfalls just like casuals and b) often lazily neglect to do due diligence on what appear to be on paper pushovers, but whom knowledgeable fans might caution "hey, he's actually pretty legit and in with a solid chance, don't sleep on X..". :deal:

As of when I made the poll thread I didn't yet know that DAZN was going to have it on so early in the day. I wasn't closely monitoring things (and besides, no longer being a mod, wouldn't have been able to close it to reflect the fight's early start time anyway...but could've sent CST or Serge or Mac a PM to do it) bc I had Lil Butt with me, as usual on Saturdays during the day, but as of when I last glanced at the poll results about midafternoon, there were indeed zero picking Fedosov. I find it highly unlikely that someone just so happened to squeak in and place a vote on the huge upset in between whenever @catchwtboxing looked and the fight itself (@CST80's post with the result, probably just seconds after it happened, came at 3:57pm EST)
