Hasn't he already had plenty of ppv paydays, im struggling to think of one of his fights that merited it, none have. people on here go on about ppv but its like anything else, keep swallowing **** & they'll keep serving it. We're already being groomed by Eddie to not be surprised to find ourselves being mugged for a score to watch cringe Benn before long. On what planet is he ppv?

Not a very convincing argument, is it? You're tripping over your own feet.

When exactly was it that Takam was "at his best"? It seems like a bit of a myth. Having a better chin and stamina doesn't mean that X is better than Y, and "would cause him a lot of problems" is not an argument.

You've just used stamina to say how Takam, "at his best", is better than Whyte. Michael Hunter gassed like no tomorrow by the start of round 6 against Povetkin, and was saved by the fact that the referee didn't count his KD as a KD when he was kept up by the ropes.

Whyte is no "world beater" but it's the in thing on this forum to discredit everything he does. He's apparently British level, according to most on the forum. There hasn't been a single guy whose ceiling was the British title who has had the wins Whyte has had.

If you want to talk about headbutting, then surely Takam is hardly exempt from that. Unintentional butts are part of the sport and the only success Takam had against Joshua was an unintentional butt, yet he is credited for a "gritty performance" that "gave Joshua problems". Sure, Whyte beating a 41 year old Povetkin is something he ought to be doing if he has any ambition. It's still a damn sight more impressive than beating up 44 year old Botha, 41 year old Michael Grant and 43 year old Thompson.

You lot really do love to hate Whyte. Every week there's a thread on him and it always does numbers.

She had an Instagram post saying something like "all the sacrifices, all the missed parties.....it was all worth it" as if she's a 30 fight veteran that's had to play the long game and work her way up against all odds.

    I hate this world

She's just so vapid and lacks any sort of self awareness. I enjoyed the pantomime (in a way) of her vs Bridges.. but ironically it was Bridges who improved reputationally simply by being far more likeable.

Eddie had placed him and Chisora on ppvs and this will continue.
Eddie also will add Okolie and Benn on ppvs sooner or later.

I agree! It was Bridges who came out looking better. If she wasn't a school teacher who took up boxing 4 years ago, I'd imagine that she would be in another league to Courtenay (I know she hasn't been boxing much longer but she's had better backing and schooling by some distance). Regardless, she won me over with wilful display and attitude. The eye was causing her all sorts of problems and she didn't once complain, but kept coming forward with ambition. Although she's quite inexperienced she did try to throw a variety of punches which I thought was great. We're so used to watching capable boxers who are either braindead and have no ambition or are boring robots who will only stick out a jab and clinch, so I liked that in her. That, with the way she handled defeat, was admirable.

    Go on, Ebanie.

I have to also say that although I haven't kept up with Courtenay since she won, she wasn't nearly as bad of a winner as I thought she'd be. I thought she'd be completely gloating and insufferable, but she was all right after from what I had seen.

A fit and motivated Ruiz absolutely beats Whyte, he’s better in all areas for me although power would be close - for that reason it probably won’t ever happen.

The one that got in with Joshua first time, hungry and game, can take anyone’s power shots at heavy and speed to counter them. The only one I could never in a million years seeing him beat is Fury, mobility an range, he’d make Ruiz look terrible

I think Ruiz vs Usyk would be really interesting stylistically, would gel well IMO.

Agreed. At least with Usyk he’ll be given the chance to engage, Fury has to much range
