A 6'3 220lbs fighter who punches that slow wouldn't have much success in this era.

Of course he was. His comeback is underrated as hell too. Find me a fighter that can stay away from the sport for that long and comeback old and overweight and be able to perform at that level. It's very hard. His mental strength alone gives him an edge. One of the toughest humans I've seen.

His fights against guys like Briggs, Cooney and Savarese, while being old and fat, prove he could.

Peter was nothing but an overrated punching bag.
Casuals fell in love with his brutal ko over china chinned world class can crusher Jeremy Williams & commenced to flood online boxing forums with absurd threads for years to come.

You've just created a super version of Foreman that never existed. The fat 260lb version of Foreman from the 90s had greater punch resistance than the 220lb 'prime' Foreman of the 70s due to his bulk. However he was a worse fighter overall, losing to the likes of Morrison who I'm sure he would have beat in the 70s.

Yes. I enjoyed watching Peter fight, but Peter would not see the 3rd round against Foreman. Foreman by KO 2, IMHO.
