David Adeleye vs Kamil Sokolowski

Sokolowski is terrible and looked awful against Faust, who could've knocked him out if he really wanted to. Sokolowski looks a lot worse now than he did in about 2017/2018 and he wasn't great then. He seems like he will fight anyone though which is quite admirable, I suppose.

 

I'm a little baffled by Adeleyes trainer continuously saying "this isn't a step up" in their latest ifl video.

Great test for Adeleye. We will see just how good he is.

 

I haven't seen anything to impress me so far but I appreciate it's early days. We'll see what he has to offer tonight but at the moment all I see is a small, very basic, straightforward heavyweight of the Nick Webb standard.

 

He's far worse than Dubois.

 

You are not wrong, but Dubois would absolutely batter this guy. Dubois looks like Foreman compared to this bloke.

It was my first time watching a full fight of his. I kept hearing people talk about his size. He looked an inch or so taller than 6'1'' Sokolowsi and only weighed 16 stones, despite having a heavily muscled upper body. He's not even a natural heavyweight and that would probably explain why he was breathing out of his arse after 2 (!) rounds.

 

His chicken legs and wide stance on the back foot, almost continuously backing away with a surprised look on his face winding up the right hand reminded me of Wilder in the second Fury bout.

But of course that's a massive insult to Wilder.

It was my first time seeing a full contest of his and I'm surprised by how bad he is, considering all of the attention he gets here in the UK online sports media.

He says he believes he's one of the best in the country. So many of these heavyweights con people into thinking they are good.

He has the frame of a light heavyweight. Although if tonight is a demonstration of his boxing ability he would be chewed up in that weight division. Would you be interested in a rematch?

Another embarrassing display from a British referee/judge, in the grand scheme of things this isnt going to make much news, it was a 6 rounder down the card but enough is enough now, people were calling a robbery way before the final bell on the rbr and on twitter.

The BBBofC is simply not fit for purpose, Robert Smith has to go, if he had any sense of decency he would resign immediately.

The ridiculous stance Smith takes that he has to defend referees and judges at all costs is now seriously damaging British boxing because referees/judges know there are zero consequences for what can only be described as complete and utter incompetence.

Also Robert Smith has said openly he won't listen to anybody with less experience than him when it comes to his job, so every British boxing fan can go F themselves and their opinions do not matter to him.


There needs to be consequences for cards like that tonight, I'm not saying the referee should be ejected of out boxing forever, that's too extreme, but there should be some type of sanction anything from a refresher course to a mini ban.

Something has to happen, it's beyond disgusting now.
