Why are people trying to push the narrative that Canelo is so much better now than when he faced Mayweather? What are you going by? Who has Canelo fought post Mayweather that makes you believe he has gotten better? Aside from G, many argue he lost to, his resume is that much better.

The only confident prediction I'm making here is that Canelo dry humps Saunders in the second like Maidana and Broner did to each other, the bloody *****

People thinking Saunders will beat Canelo just like he did Lemieux are forgetting one thing....Canelo ain't a one dimensional clueless fighter like Lemieux. I'd wager it will the Saunders who will not be able to land anything meaningfull on Canelo, he will be the one hitting air all night. Then Canelo will cut off the ring effectively and punish Saunders to the body, and then it will only be a matter of time before that tree falls, and it will fall hard.

Let Saunders think he can fight Canelo like he did Lemiuex or that other limited fighter Eubank Jr. He'll be in for one rude awakening.

The thing is BJS has shown that he is nothing impressive at 168. I mean is everyone forgetting how meh he looked in his last fight against Murray.

Billy mentions in an IFL video after beating Murray that he's not gonna wait around till May to fight Canelo implying he wants to fight more often and maybe feels like he needs more time to adjust to that weight .. And look what he's done waited till May.

To be fair, although BJS hasn't shown anything impressive at 168 I think he'll come to fight unlike the last 4/5 opponents of Canelo... Canelos last 4 or so opponents have literally fought so weird and timid against Canelo... And no its not because he's a super duper ultra fast counterpuncher.. They've fought like they were literally not trying to win. I think Canelo and these fighters are agreeing some really dodgy ****.. Canelo has become a circus **** show and his fans still lap this bullocks up

Bjs is not mayweather... he won't school him however i can see Bjs making it close fights like GGG did cause i think if the best Bjs shows up hes somewhere near that level.

It's levels. You theorize that they had to be agreeing to some really dodgy **** because you refuse to recognize the gap in talent between Canelo and his last 5 opponents. But to your point, Billy isn't like Canelo's last 5 opponents. And he appears to be primed and ready to bring his A game. Billy at his best is a high level operator, awkward, unconventional. This is intriguing because we haven't seen this since Canelo fought GGG. And Canelo has only gotten better and more confident since fighting GGG.

Bottom line, we finally have a something to look forward to. We finally have an opponent with high level skill and the motivation to give a good account of himself and give Canelo his biggest test since GGG. I doubt this will be as grueling as the GGG fights were, but Billy is arguably more talented than GGG. He's certainly slicker than GGG. So this presents a unique challenge that Canelo hasn't experienced in a long time. This is what boxing needs. We've been without a sold out venue in over a year. The fans are coming back. We have a real fight on our hands.
