Ryan Garcia pulls out of contest with Fortuna

What is it with this guy? He calls out big names like Tank and Linares then chickens out when they agree. He claims BS discussions are on to fight Pacquiao a Welterweight which is never possible. He is mandatory contender for the WBC belt held by Haney then behaves like a punk refusing mandatory bout with Haney. Schedules a bout with Fortuna to pull out again like this more BS excuses. What is it with this guy? If you want to focus on health and well-being perhaps boxing is the wrong game for you.

He got put down by Campbell, who is a very good fighter and there is no shame in that. He knows he's not special and could get beat by any of the world level talent. He also wants absolutely nothing to do with Haney.

If Campbell had put the pressure on after the knockdown, he'd have got Garcia out of there.

Some people say fab 4, I say..one proven talent, 2 cowards and a nobody.

hes already got it made. makes alot of money from social media, maybe even more than what boxing brings in. he prbably not as passionate about boxing as all the other young fighters, and his fight with campbell opened up his eyes.

 

If he truly is having issues then its best for him to relax and heal himself, he has enough money to stay put for a bit. Boxing comes second.

Guys usually tend to go the other route, and often end up paying a steep price.

If Garcia does have some health issues, then good on him for taking time off.

Garcia doesn't want to box anymore. If you follow him and listen to his podcasts you can clearly see that he's not in boxing anymore - neither with his heart nor with his head. He should retire. Maybe the passion comes back in a few years.

 

Strikes me as the kind of guy who pretends to have mental health issues to be trendy

 

Could just be a bump in the road, the first time a doctor ever gives you some bad news it can throw you off.

I wouldn't make too much of it yet.

Edit: the other thing is that he's doing this a couple months out, it gives Fortuna a chance at maybe salvaging a fight this summer.

 

I hope rye can get his **** together, come back stronger and whoop fortuna later this year, because if he doesnt fight fortuna next, ill consider that a duck.

 

Well, I had valued him more like IG kid. Vs Campbell he liked me exactly cos after he had been dropped, he continued to to all the best in his ability to win this one.
Not sure, maybe he might pick other things to do.
