Honestly, Masvidal has been a striker all his career. He got KTFO by a wrestler. Look at his defense. It was so poor.

Masvidal was standing straight up cause he didn't wan the take down. I think that played a huge part of him standing and being so stiff. This isn't boxing. Its more than just ducking punches.

 

Keyboard warrior would be me saying I can beat them. Know your insults before you spout crap.

 

It´s not like Usman hasn´t improved his stand up lately. It was also the correct set up, just like you would do in boxing.
Like I said, how much boxing do you think they get? A couple of hours a week?

If boxing were so effective, we would surely see more guys being full time boxers with some ground game. But it´s MMA. There is a lot to deal with.

Also, MMA striking has come quite far to be honest. Compare the guys now to 10+ years ago. Its night and day. The sport really is still young.
