He's just absolute class. There are plenty of things in his favour undoubtedly but what is evident is that he's an elite level all time great. This isn't about losses he should have had or drug bans that should have been harsher or whatever....his skill level is what we watch this sport for. He does everything so well.

There will come a day when he goes up a weight class too far or he just gets old but right now he is just brilliant to watch.

    For me it is simple...

GGG is one of the best boxers of his generation and his jab didn’t keep canelo off...

It really kind of did in the 1st fight.
Thought GGG won by a few rounds.

In the 2nd fight GGG was in reverse and had never looked great fighting backwards. Don't know why he ever thought that was a good tactic.

BJS has the best footwork in the division and will be the best he has ever been. Might not be enough to win but BJS could certainly outjab GGG with his exceptional foot work.

You have to heavily favour Canelo by the levels he has fought at and how he has fought.

    Styles make fights

BJS has a style similar to those that have frustrated a much greener and younger Canelo.

BJS hasn't fought anyone close to this current prime Canelo but he does seem to fight to his opponents level.

Maybe Bill can put on masterclass, he has some really good skills. Billy even punches harder than given credit for.

I think Canelo solves the BJS puzzle after 6 rounds, banging the body will be the key.

Can't see a KO but it will be a 7-5, 8-4ish type win but 119-109 on the official cards lol.

Billy needs to have 12 round fitness to have a chance and he has never really shown to have that in his career.

The key for Billy will be to get Canelo moving and making him have to lunge in to connect. Easier said than done. Billy needs to stick and move, looking to counter any over committed punches.

Canelo is used to being the sniper and when that doesn't work he never used to have a plan b. I don't know if he has ever proven to be that effective against a slickster.

Danny Jacobs is very good but alot more predictable and less slippery than Saunders.

I think you’re looking at the Canelo / GGG fights the wrong way - rather than GGG deciding to fight backwards in the 2nd fight I think it was more of the fact that Canelo deciding to be aggressive and pressure GGG. In the first fight Canelo was trying to outbox him using head movement - I personally scored the first a draw but could see a GGG win depending on what you liked. Felt Canelo won the 2nd by a couple of rounds.

Canelo for me has been P4P number 1 for some years now. I’d love to see him live, hoping he’s still about when I go to Vegas for my stag do in a couple of years.

In the first fight it won 9 rounds, 7 very clearly and another 2 that were debatable. Long story short, he couldn't deal with Golovkin in the first fight despite using Clen.

I just can't see past Canelo here and I'm a fan of Saunders who will be rooting for him next month.

A lot of people are resorting back to the Mayweather fight to pick holes and justify a Saunders win but for me, you simply cannot compare the young "green" Canelo of then to the beast he has developed into now. He is absolutely superb and a joy to watch.

Saunders has a brilliant boxing brain but to beat someone like Canelo, a fighter truly at the elite level, you need to have been consistently and active at the top level which for one reason or another Saunders hasn't. The last few years his career has been very stop start.

From watching his last 2 or 3 fights and in particular since he's been up at 168, it looks like he's missing / lost a step. Now I do get that he is one of these fighters that needs the "fear factor" in order to perform at his absolute very best (e.g. Lemeiux) and lack of activity will have played it's part but if it goes deeper than that then he could be in a world of ****

Mark Tibbs is definitely a better trainer than BJS' former trainers

Saunders always looks poor if the opponent is B rate because he never trains properly for the fight, this is down to his arrogance but this shows the lad has immense trust in his ability to beat fringe contenders without training.

His last fight in america he turned up 2 days before the fight due to Visa restrictions which is shocking preparation in regards to time adjusting and he had a throat infection but still managed to pull off the ko victory. The Murray fight again bjs wasnt in great shape.......

Look at him now, he is in career best condition has had the hardest training camp of.his life and has got back together with tibbs senior and junior and this is all because he truly wants and believes he can do this at his very best.

Win or lose we are going to see a great performance from bjs, one that people will have have to give him props for.

I personally think being the bigger man and the condition he is in ,I have a feeling he will fight on the front foot against canelo and bring the fight to him.

There is no point him backing up and trying to steal rounds because he wont get them, I think he is going to try and push Canelo back and use his weight and size advantage tying him up after letting go combinations.

Whether he can do this for 12 rounds is another matter but it's the only way of beating Canelo in my eyes.

People also seem to be under the impression saunders has no chance of hurting Canelo which I find absurd. Just because golovkin didnt knockout Canelo doesn't mean saunders cant, it's a completely different fight, canelo will be getting hit from different angles to what golovkin created and he will have to be on his toes more against bjs which will ultimately mean his balance will be different which will create problems. Canelo has slow feet imo and in this fight he wont be able to sit down on his punches as much due to bjs movement. I honestly think bjs is more likely to score a knockdown than Canelo!!

I know it's a lazy comparison but there is a touch of Vlad v Fury about this one

What weight advantage? Canelo has won a title at LHW. BJS is slightly bigger but nowhere near as much filled out

Saunders is naturally the bigger man and will be far heavier on fight night than Canelo, canelo may have won at light heavyweight but once again like in so many of canelos fights( because he always gets an advantage ) kovalev had to agree to a rehydration clause which ultimately meant he had zero strength after 6 rounds, by the way Canelo was getting his head jabbed off before old man kovalev weakened and kovalev speed compared to Saunders is laughable, trust me saunders will be far stronger than kovalev was

Got to disagree there fella, even with a rehydration clause Kovalev is a career LHW. He is able to stay close to the weight if needed. He’s bigger and stronger than Saunders - who isn’t particularly strong in the first place. I can’t see Saunders pushing back Canelo at all - he hasn’t got the power to do that.

That is what makes this fight great and everyone has a different opinion, we will ultimately all find out in a couple of weeks.

Hopefully we are all about to see a classic!
