I actually think this will be quite a decent fight, I'm sure someone had a word in Parkers ear l for this. Told him he gets a different trainer and works on being aggressive he wants to be in PPV fights in the future. I honestly hope it fails for the integrity of the sport and PPV (what's left) but I just have a feeling this will end up being alright.
I think the same, this is going to be a good fight. I have no doubt in my mind that Parker will look for the KO and that will leave him vulnerable from a big shot off Chisora. Chisora to win by KO.
I see this fight going the full 12 and whether it's an entertaining fight or not truly depends on whether Parker decides to engage.... This "Indian summer" of Del Boys career has seen him turn up and put on entertaining scraps e.g. Takam, Szpilka, Whyte but Parker of late has had a few stinkers including his last fight with Fa. I hope working with Andy Lee puts a rocket up his arse and he puts on a show because when he does choose to be aggressive and put his shots together he can be dangerous.
It is strange, but when I have problems sleeping, I watch a Joseph Parker fight, and I'm out like a light before I take the nytol.
Personal choice pal. Think £20 is good value for the ppv? Buy it. Think £20 is not good value? Don’t buy it. same as every other discretionary purchase you make in your life, ever. Up to you, no one else’s business. Why get upset about the personal choice of a few hundred thousand people, to part with their £20? They don’t know you’re getting all upset with them, they don’t know you exist. what about all those people queuing up at Costa coffee to spend three quid on a garbage coffee which cost about ten pence? You gonna go and tell them all how they should spend their £3? Go get em champ!
I have a feeling Parker will win on a late stoppage. People say he's dull and boring but I thought his fight with Whyte was good, and he produced a great final round to be fair. Chisora's style might bring out the best in him. Having said that, Parker looked dull in most fight since he beat Ruiz back in 2016. And he actually looked washed-up against Fa a couple of months ago. Still, it's nice for top 10 fighters to be active like he is.
Well no because they are artificially pushing the price points up, screwing everyone else. This could be a mildly enteraining scrap, that realistically is an ok headliner for a Saturday night fight night. However the morons buying into non exsistent hype have suddenly made fights like this at £20 a throw. I actually don't mind paying for fights. This is just ludicrous now. The people buying ironically aren't boxing fans which is what makes it so annoying.
Well, it's debatable of course, but he's possibly top 10 because the division is lacking good fighters. It's hard to fill a heavyweight top 10 right now without scraping the barrel a bit. Actually, outside the top 2 or 3, it gets a bit desperate, doesn't it.
Oh man, I know it's simple but he's spot on, just shut the hell up. When I watch old fights or even the HBO ones of more recent times they might occasionally slip in the odd comment about a boxer, usually if they're a character or something weird "Jefferies has been washing in brine", there's a territory that they never go into though that Sky hop, skip, jump and land head first in. I don't want to sound horrible but we know that the Edwards brothers have an ill mum, we don't need reminding and most of us don't care. So and so used to work in such and such a place, great, don't care. By all means chime in with something like that every now and again, just don't let it dominate the commentary, it's like a separate conversation going on at times. Either that or fully commit, "Sat there ringside is Tyson's father, John, such an influence in his career. Of course John did nothing of any real note in the ring but I heard that he has an unbeaten record against women outside of it. Yes, according to Tyson he grew up watching John cheat on his mum and domestic violence was rife. What does John do for an encore you may ask, well, he ended up in prison for gouging a man's eye out at a car show in broad daylight in front of the victims son. Oh lovely old John, he's a character" Do that or do nothing.
