Damn! I was hoping for another Pauline mallinagi style haircut mid fight for sunny

 

It all depends on how Moruti looks after the layoff and at his age. He has the skills and power to beat Edwards from pillar to post. But he also can be outworked and outboxed by a faster guy and Edwards will be certainly faster with his feet and hands. My gut is telling me that Edwars pulls it off but my head/heart going into the opposite direction and thinking about Moruti walking him down over 12 rounds. But he might get robbed anyway so he probably needs a stoppage.

Conlan/Baluta should be fun. Baluta with a nice bounce back in his last few fights, dangerous guy but he really needs to dominate to win so i'm going with Conlan by decision.

Smith/Williamson probably the real main event because it's a classic pick em' fight. Kieran has some nice tools and is the much better boxer but he can be outworked and is a lot on the backfoot which isn't great against the home fighter/A-side. Williamson also beat him in the amateurs 5 or 6 years ago. Expecting a Split Decision here to be honest.

What am I seeing?

This fight will look a little like Avanesyan Vs Kelly, I see Edwards starting fast and sharp, looking very good, taking the early rounds but Mthalane will slowly get in to it, throwing hard punches to the body, slowly breaking Edwards down.

WOW, Mthalane stoppage, last third of the fight.. Edwards ahead in the cards and then calls for a rematch.



Oh what it this, I'm getting another vision, I'm seeing the word "Friday" and also beers and a pizza, I have no idea what this means.. but I have this uncontrollable urge to go and get some beers and I'm thinking pizza during the fights..

 

...Can anyone explain just why Sunny Edwards is fighting for a world title? He hasn't fought above British level and even here he was dropped a couple of times.

Mthalane is an elite level boxer and unless there is a disgusting robbery, the African will stop Sunny late.

Although I am rooting for the fellow Brit.

Because 112 is a weak division right now and title fights go to boxers who have the money behind them and Sunny obviously has Warren. Mthalane also desperately looking for a bigger stage and payday and if he can beat Edwards he probably gets a unification bout with Martinez in the near future. Most likely in the US. So it would be a good end to his great career with two or three bigger paydays. I really hope he wins tonight and gets it. He's a cool guy and criminally underrated.
