    Baluta takes the 6th

    4-2 Conlan or 3-3.

Conlan starting to look very average, Baluta sticking to his game, hasn't changed much but landing more.

I repeat the referee is awful

    Round 1 Conlan 10-9
    Round 2 Conlan 10-9
    Round 3 Baluta 10-9, close
    Round 4 Conlan 10-9
    Round 5 Baluta 10-9, close
    Round 6 Conlan 10-9
    Round 7 Baluta 10-9, close

Mick still being aggressive, although less accurate. Baluta is landing one twos. But not always accurate. Although a lot more accurate than he has been so far.

I haven't been watching this one very closely so I could be WAAAAY off base, but Baluta seems to be just...flailing a lot. Throwing a lot but not a lot of substance landing. If he's winning rounds it's because Conlan isn't throwing enough back.

Many of these rounds are hard to score. Since Conlan dropped his output and Baluta upped his it's been really nip and tuck.

Balute takes the 7th for me.

Wild but clipping Conlan. Landing more shots. Very close rounds, I wouldn't argue over them

I'm going to give Conlan that close one earlier, the one I couldnt decide, so I have it..

    4-3 Conlan.

You're right there, Baluta is only going to win on workrate at this point so he's flailing a lot but it does keep Conlan on the defensive to his advantage. Baluta can be so overwhelming he makes you forget to counter.

    Round 1 Conlan 10-9
    Round 2 Conlan 10-9
    Round 3 Baluta 10-9, close
    Round 4 Conlan 10-9
    Round 5 Baluta 10-9, close
    Round 6 Conlan 10-9
    Round 7 Baluta 10-9, close
    Round 8 Conlan 10-9

Baluta letting his hands go, lands a left hook. Mick going to the body with left hooks consistently. Mick now landing one twos. Baluta starting to feel the pace. Baluta fires back, lands a nice straight right up top. Vicious right hook to the gut stops Baluta clean in his tracks. Jabs to the body following up with right hooks from Mick.

    Conlan takes the 8th

Not sure if it's a tactical change or Conlan has just simply upped the pace but he imposed himself far more and was throwing shots when he got in range or up close, instead of just walking up and not doing much or throwing the odd shot.

    5-3 Conlan

Wish he has some serious pop because the rest of his skillset is very refined and that would be the cherry on top that would all but guarantee him a future as champion.

Conlan is rocking the tricolour (green, white and orange) on his shorts but for some inexplicable reason known only to terrible taste he's decided to mix it with blue, black and gold -a six colour scheme containing numerous colours which clash. I mean it's not a hideously garish nightmare scenario but it is unquestionably ugly and it's very reminiscent of a tacky beermat you pick up for a quid in a souvenir shop.

Very good fight this, nice clash of styles. Baluta is a machine with his numerous flurries.

Mick clocks him with a right, Baluta clocks him with a right. Mick blocking his shots with his high guard. Following up with one twos to the gut. Baluta holds, then spike DDT's Mick in the middle of the ring. Hard jab left hook from Mick, Baaluta fires off a flurry, lands most clean. Mick udetered, goes back to the body. Hard right on the beltline from Mick before the bell.
