    I don't believe there was any rematch clause.

    Hearn works with Bivol but would cut his throat to give Buatsi a world title shot against Craig Richards.

    What's the point in a rematch! He clearly lost. Who wants to see Bivol waste another six months fighting Richards again LOL.. The division needs unification fights not dog **** rematches that have zero merit.

    Agreed it’s one of those like Joe smith at the time when he will get credit some the line. Richards is turning into a very solid fighter.


    I think the biggest issue with Bivol is he is a super middle fighting at light heavy.
    If he had started as super middle champ then worked up to light heavy people would have been pumped.

    but because he doesn’t carry power at light heavy he’s lost all buzz particularly being so inactive.

    I do think he beat practically everyone in that weight class however as he’s got slick skills

    Those two scorecards were absolutely disgraceful. Period. Bivol dominated the first two thirds of the fight and gave away a couple after that because he took his foot of the gas. Richards is a good fighter who has improved a lot but Bivol dominated the fight apart from 2 or 3 rounds. Richards was hitting arms and gloves the vast majority of the time.

    A rematch and Bivol would absolutely stop him, ring rust was why that was more competitive than it should have been.
