Regardless of the outcome it's pretty clear...Joseph Parker is done as a pro boxer. He should retire IMMEDIATELY. He has nothing to offer in the ring. The only reason for him to continue is probably money.
He became gun shy after the Dillian Whyte fight. That really took a lot out of him and he doesn’t like to engage anymore. He had an old and exhausted Chisora for the last 5 rounds and he didn’t attempt to finish him.
Parker and Chisora matched up well together and it was a good fight. I would be happy to see a rematch. I felt Chisora won by 1 point.
He still did just enough to win. Same thing with his win over Ruiz. He doesn't like having tear ups though. I' m not sure if it's his stamina, he seems to fight in spurts. When he goes on the attack he's fine. He's got a defensive style but it doesn't suit him. He throws too many rounds away.
He isn't shot; he has always been this way at world level. He's probably slightly declined, but at his best he was a fringe contender. Now, he's a high level gatekeeper. Nothing wrong with that, but people need to think of him in the top 15 range rather than as someone warranting a title shot.
