Pillowfists Fury couldn’t even put Wallin, Pianetta, Seferi and Schwarz on their backs. Dude you’re massively massively overrating him lol. Weak puncher, low volume puncher, limited punch variety, gets dropped easily, poor finishing ability, average hand speed.
...and completely whitewashed the dominant champion, touted as one of the biggest punchers of all time. Won every round then knocked him into submission, followed by mental psychosis, as if it was a stroll in the park. He even cracked open a can of Fosters on the way back to his dressing room whilst Wilder was having a torch shone into his eyes to make sure he was still alive. Wilder never got over it, and never will. God only knows what state Joshua will be in after he has felt the Fury.
Exactly! Something was amiss. Arreola was very very quick in this fight. It seemed he had bricks in his gloves. The jab was hurting Andy. My guess is they Haymons team tried to do Andy dirty. Watson was in arreolas córner Not Andy’s which was weird
fairly accurate, but wouldn’t say zero boxing skill. One trick pony is closer to the truth. great right hand & has improved the timing as well setting that punch up.
Do you even realize that there’s form and age play a massive role in a match up Chisora was way older and over the hill when he faced Chisora than wilder. Wilder was also much more in control than most people on here believe it’s part of the whole bashing wilder phenomenon to not except the fact that you underestimated him massively. Same for the duhaupas fight if fury or wlad would’ve put on such a performance against him nobody would say that they were in trouble. Same with the Washington fight wilder just doesn’t care about winning rounds because he knows he can pull people out with one single right hand, just like when he fought ortiz.
Doesnt really say anything about Wilder but I have a hard time calling Ruiz and Parker top heavyweights after last night. Arreola and Chisora were gatekeepers 10 years ago.
Arreola took the Tuscaloser fight on late notice and he was coming off a no contest against Travis Kauffman in his previous outing which the later clearly won, a draw against Fred Kassi, went life and death against Curtis Harper in his fight prior to that, and was knocked out by Stiverne in his fight prior to that one.
If anyone's resume gets a boost it's K Level Kauffman's, Ottomatic's and The Gypsy King's. Kauffman>>Arreola Kauffman>>Fat Andy Ottomatic>>Kauffman Tyson Fury>>Ottomatic
History says you can't do that with any certainty. If you could make assumptions then Ali doesn't beat Foreman b/c of Ken Norton. Many beats Floyd b/c of Ricky Hatton etc etc.
Wilder underrated? This guy fought utter stiffs for at least half of his career - much longer than most fighters on the "way up" and then handpicked mediocrities and old men after that. He was put on the canvas by two of those stiffs - Dustin Nichols and Harold Sconiers - and then utterly exposed by the first live body he fought, twice. Wilder is a FRAUD who is packing a fragile mandible and as this thread demonstrates, totally overrated.
It's not EVER true, styles make fights and it is lazy to assume A beating B tells you anything about another matchup unless it's at least a similar style matchup. I mean it sometimes isn't even ok to compare a fighter to himself because on fight night I feel like each fight is a different version of the fighter depending on who we are speaking on .
Well Wilder isn't that good. Arreola isn't that good and Ruiz isn't that good. Ruiz beating overrated Joshua proved nothing. Joshua's best win came against the ancient Wladimir Klitchko in a fight Joshua was almost knocked out with one punch. Wilder beating Chris Arreola proved what? He stopped a faded Chris in the 9th or 10th round. If you want to use your logic then Bermaine Stiverne is even better than Wilder. Since Stiverne fought and legit stopped Chris Arreola before Wilder did.
