    Agreed.

If Lennox hit him with that combo, Ruiz wakes up speaking Arabic.

with: he had lost vs Parker and A.J when they had attempted to beat him on cards and were successfull.
Why not, he was leg lazy and this is good game plan.
KO losses he still did not had.
Yeah, till today looks that best flowchart to win Ruiz is to keep distance, be mobile and score decision cos he is leg lazy and if boxer is faster and with better legs, better long range game, he might score decision win with not high risk.

Maybe because he was allowed to be?

Where as in the Fury fight he didn't have that option

He didn't struggle. He just took a few rounds to adjust. Arreola has always been talented. Ruiz made the mistake of stalking early on, when he went to his counter punching style he controlled the fight.

Why did PBC leave out the knockdown in their highlights vid? Are PBC trying to stop Ruizs stock from dropping as much as they can to protect him? Why are PBCs highlights so much worse than DAZNs?

Doesn't look good for Joshua that he got belted around the ring by this guy first time & then ran from the most obese version (& that's saying summat!) of him the second time whilst decrepit Arreola took it to him & nearly dropped him twice  .. Bring back Eddie Chambers I say, let's have the full set of Teletubbies

I don't know how much control Andy has over his weight, as some guys are just this way genetically. If he could drop another 20 pounds, the world will hopefully be impressed. But I won't call him a fat pig, that's for sure. The problem with boxing now is that it takes FOREVER for any meaningful fight to get made. Who knows how good any of these guys are, when they're all fighting Chris Arreola and Derek Chisora? They all waste their primes waiting for fights to get made, and then end up fighting Chisora, Arreola, and Molina, who are not exactly Ghidorah, the Three-Headed Monster.

Well all this just shows how bad the current heavyweight division is. Wilder couldn't legit knock out Arreola even though Stiverne did. Tyson Fury was almost knocked out by light punching cruiser weight Steve Cunnigham. Fury landed 86 punches in 12 rounds against a faded Wladimir Klitschko while in his prime Ross Purritty, Corrie Sanders, and Lamon Brewster knocked him out. Anthony Joshua was almost knocked out with 1 punch by a even more faded Wlad and got beat by butterball Andy Ruiz.

Andy got himself in great shape but even though he was in great shape, he still has to get in there and fight. And anything can happen in boxing. It just so happened that his opponent Arreola was also in great shape and landed a great shot on him putting him down. Though in fairness, the shot that put him down hit him at a crazy angle towards the back of his head as he was leaning to the right trying to give Arreola head movement. I think what happened there was Ruiz was trying to be a little too slick for his own good, kind of overdoing it with upper body movement trying to emulate Canelo's upper body movement too much at the wrong time and Arreola timed it perfectly.

I know that Andy is trying to become like a carbon copy of Canelo at Heavyweight, which is great in theory, but you can't just become Canelo and do all the things that he does well just by trying to mimic him. Canelo has built a foundation of upper body movement that is like a reflex action. Andy is learning how to be more like Canelo in the gym, but this was only his first time testing this out in front of a live opponent. And all things considered, he still did pretty well. Sure he faced some adversity early on, with the knockdown in the 2nd and being off balance again in the 3rd, which was surpising, but like a true Champion he overcame those scary moments and beat the brakes off of Arreola from that point on.

Andy is still a work in progress, he's far from a finished product, but he's made improvements to his game and needs to continue to stay hungry in the gym. The boos during his post fight interview were really tough to hear, because he's worked so hard in the gym to get himself into shape and stlll performed well all things considered, despite the early scares. Maybe they were booing what he said about ring rust or sounding like he was making excuses, or maybe some of them were booing the scores.

I think Andy could have handled that post fight interview a little better, but hearing those boos for a guy who has rededicated himself in the gym and seems to be genuinely trying to become a better fighter is disheartening. I don't know where Andy goes from here, I don't think anyone is interested in a rematch with Arreola, though Andy seemed to fancy it saying we could run it back. I think he's going to be stuck fighting non-title fights for a while, while the Big names in the division and title holders will continue to stall while trying ot make fights with each other. I know a lot of people were talking about Andy vs Wilder, which would be entertaining but I'm not sure if Andy is ready for that power. If he's getting dropped by Arreola then he could get hurt by Wilder, who seems to be rededicating himself and something tells me Wilder could come back strong and be a tough fight for whoever fights him next.

Andy vs Ortiz is probably a good measuring stick for him but I also think Ortiz could give him some problems. As Ortiz was outboxing Wilder both times before getting stopped. So I think if Andy fights Ortiz, they'll be a lot of close rounds and many would point to that as evidence that Andy isn't dominating an old man to the extent that he should. So then he'll be again accused of underperforming or fighting too many old fighters. Really Andy is a very good fighter at Heavyweight, but he's battling his own expectations he's set for himself, and he's probably not in a position to get another title shot any time soon, even though he's a former Champ. It's a long road ahead for Andy to get back to the top, but he's got to stay hungry and stay in the gym continuing to improve himself as a fighter. Who he fights next is anybody's guess. A rematch with Arreola? A fight with Ortiz or Wilder? Or just a random Heavyweight contender? Maybe the random Heavyweight contender is his best option.
