yeah, see, thats why so many misinterpret what they saw in spence vs mikey. why they come up with crazy theories, you included. their logic is based on a wrong assumption.

just rewatch the mikey fight. take a look at precisely what spence does every time mikey steps forward. take a look at their positioning one second after mikey looks to step forward to get in distance where he can place his shots. where is spence and what is he doing? how fast do his feet look when getting to the proper position? these are the things that tell you what is happening. that is why i knew mikey would handle vargas, the much bigger man, even after spence. vargas cant do what spence can do. compare what vargas did when mikey moved into his preferred range. mikey had no answer for the denial of the range he needed, cause spence had never fought like that, he had never been hard to find before, till mikey. cause he knew, mikey at midrange can still handle guys like vargas, and thats dangerous.

Spence beats the brakes of this version of Manny.

 

Danny can talk till his tongue swell up and bust. I saw a closer fight between him and Thurman than I did with him and Spence. Spence dominated, out boxed and outpunched him. Spence has a much better chin than Thurman and frankly boxes better than he does. I think that Thurman has the edge in power but that's about it. I don't think that Pac can beat Spence, but he has a better chance with Spence than he does with Crawford. His best fight would be against Mikey. That's a fifty fifty fight.

naah. thats why thurman started timing him as the rounds went on.what surprises fighters at first is the distance pac can cover with speed. you gauge where hes at, then back up what you think will be enough when he charges, and yet he still catches you. spence has the speed to get himself completely out of harms way, while leaving himself in a position to fire off shots at you hanging in the air, and the length to deliver those shots. once you win the distance battle with pac, cause hes got stubby arms, you goad him into exploding into one of your shots. both spence and mikey are experts at doing this, moreso mikey, as this is his bread and butter. he likes to use your forward momentum to walk you into shots. crawford prefers to beat you at the midrange, catching you in between flurries as you try and adjust to the different looks he gives you.

 

I know what Spence shows up, and that’s all I need to know.

i definitely disagree with that one. nobody has really tested spence, i imagine crawford could, and thats the only way people will start to see how well spence can actually box. you have to see what hes doing, and then imagine what fighters would be able to do the same thing as successfully. he can beat world class fighters into hamburger on the inside, he can force the distance he wants on the outside, and he can land first at midrange. he is always prepared, in superb condition, both mentally and physically. i will repeat what ive been saying for 5 years. nobody beats spence at welter. nobody. that may change within the next 3 years.
