Thats Ring magazine top 10, the rest were organizational top 10. He koed 18 of them in spectacular fashion out of 20, and the 21st he should have got the decision. If you were fighting the best guys that would face you in the top 10 what more can you ask? Their weren't many left, Martinez didnt want him, Cotto didnt, Sturm didnt want him, Who was left, Quillin and Saunders and Lee. Those fights were all formalities. He was a dominant force in the division period.

For the 3rd time Canelo was 20lbs heavier than Floyd, and Golovkin was the true dominant middleweight Champ, no need to come down for someone who weighes more than you.
What kind of sense does that make?

man y’all need to stop it with this mess a good percentage of them fighters where guys they paid the sanctioning body to move up the ranks lol szermeta who was unranked until GGGs team petitioned to make him mandatory then suddenly he was top 10. The truth of the matter is Golovkin has never tried to make a fight and has been content fighting bums because fans like you make passes.

Cotto was a reigning world champ and took a catchweight for Pacquiao, yet no name GGG when offer to fight Cotto at a catchweight for a title and somehow GGG thinks he’s a bigger star than Cotto ffs..
It’s a reason why even now to this day GGG STILL doesn’t try to fight anybody good, Canelo is the cash cow EVERYBODY wants to fight him, dude ducked Lara years ago saying wade and Monroe were the same

No chance back peddling Willie will disappear. I mean, he will switch accounts, but he won’t disappear.

If Golovkin avoided Lara 8 years ago why has it taken him so long to finally enter the 160 division?

Because Mayweather was a mega fight, it’s the same reason Ward was willing to go to 160 for Mayweather and not Golovkin.

    Keep up kid.

Why would you want to unify a 160 championship at 155?

If you don’t want to allow your opponent to actually fight at the division weight limit then give up your belts, not try to drain your opponents.

Cotto received his karma against the Ali.

I think Lara is more over the hill than Golovkin...............any chance that Lara had against Golovkin (and for a time I gave him a very good chance) has diminished.

If they fought, I'd still root for Lara though

Old rusty GGG runs over Lara. If a guy like Hurd was able to mug Lara and leave him damaged then GGG will be the one to punish him more severely.

That's a lie, Szeremeta was in the position for a mandatory shot for months beforehand. He was ranked No. 6 in the division by the Ring. You're deliberately making stuff up.

    11 is plenty

That doesn’t account for 2 fights with Clenelo, either

Doesn’t count for 3 tough fighters moving up in weight and trying to take his belts, Brook, Rosado and Vanes

16 respectable fights right there my guy

I checked, and it's not eleven, it's eight. Eight ranked fighters out of 'twenty' title defences is pretty damn poor. And given the state of some of those rankings, it's pretty embarrassing.

Stevens, Macklin, Murray, Geale and Proksa? This is more than half of GGG's ranked opponents. Calling them cans is pretty much bang on the money.

And they shouldn't, because he didn't win either of them.

Rosado and Vanes weren't ranked at 154, either. Rosado is essentially the Chisora of the current middleweight division and Vanes was coming straight out of retirement for a payday coz GGG needed an opponent last minute. Let's not even pretend that's a decent win. Brook is pretty whatever too, given he came up from welter.

In the grand scheme of things, GGG is a can crusher. But hey, it's not his fault his era is ****, and at least he wasn't losing to any of them.
