Is it irrefutable that Lennox Lewis cheated and fouled to victory over Vitali Klitschko, and irrefutable that Tyson Fury cheated and fouled his way to victory over Deontay Wilder as Bob Garrett insists?

Bob Garrett is an odd former boxing coach who is suppossed to be an expert on quora.

No, Lewis multiple-foul-KO'd Michael Grant though. That one is truly comical.

I don't think so. People say he laced Vitali but I haven't watched it enough times in slo mo to see for sure. Seems to me he opened a cut and kept on opening it. Kinda sad he retired to avoid the rematch though

Lennox won TKO-6 after taking on his #1 contender on a weeks notice
He also destroyed anothe guy Michael Grant that was hyped to be the man to beat him.. Sad part is if Lennox had taken McCall & Rahman seriously he would have retired like Rocky Marciano an Undefeated Heavyweight Champion

“Lennox Lewis after the fight promised to give me rematch and I very appreciate I have a chance to fight the great champion, great fighter that’s Lennox Lewis,” Vitali told Gordon. “I show my skills and I beat him but they stopped the fight and I was really upset, Lennox was very happy.

“But after the fight Lennox told me ‘Don’t worry, I promise you I give you rematch and we fight again’ but, we make negotiation and Lennox invite me to his office in London to sign the contract, fight contract for the next fight. I was surprised. Lennox tell me, “Please we talk together just you and me, don’t bring the lawyers, don’t being anybody, we talk together”. I come to his office I was really surprised Lennox was not alone, with his mom. We talk about the next fight, I guess two hours and mom doesn’t say one word. They scanned me with eye, and the mom from Lennox was bigger and wiser…I know mom was always in camp, mom was always by Lennox’s fights. I leave the office, Lennox call me and told, “Vitali, sorry, I no fight you” and I am understand. His mom don’t like me and tell to Lennox, “Lennox, better not to fight Klitschko again. Yeah, I was a little bit upset but anyway thank you for Lennox, he gave me chance to prove my skills against best boxer in my career".

Lewis was losing that fight in my eyes, pretty handily. I don't think he committed that big foul on purpose, but I think it was a very unfortunate accident. I'm not sure at all if he could have won any other way, though.

No, he fought badly v Bruno and and a faded Tucker, it was just a matter of time until he was stopped, Steward saved his career.

Lennox would have fallen by round 8.

    He was done.

VK got the unlucky cut. It was the only way LL could retain the title.

Lewis vs V. Klitschko - Legitimate punch; legitimate cut; legitimate stoppage win.

That it also gives Vitali fans the opportunity to fantasize about what could have been, has become a source of much amusement to me, for what is fast approaching 18 years, now.

Lewis W TKO6 - The result that just keeps on giving...

What is this bull**** ? Lewis opened the first cut above Vitali's left eye with a right straight that connected in the first seconds of the 3rd round. It was clearly shown at the end of that round as well when Vitali went into his corner. Even the commentator confirmed the cut was over the left eye as soon as the blood was visible on Vitali. And that was not the only cut. There was no illegal elbows or illegal punches that opened up Vitalis cuts. By round 6 there were 4 seperate cuts but looking over hours of footage i have not found illegal tactics to cause Vitali's gashes. In the corner Steward was telling Lewis to throw overhand rights to worsen Vitalis face and wear him down. Lewis was going to win that fight by UD or Late TKO. Vitali's face was destroyed and Lewis had the momentum at the time of the stoppage. I like how people forget Frank Bruno was ahead on the scorecards against Lewis for 6 rounds until he got brutally TKO'd in the 7th. Being ahead on the score cards in the middle rounds is one thing but winning the fight is another

1 cut is would be luck but 4 seperate cuts ? No that is not luck. 37 year old overweight Lewis tore prime Vitali's face apart and carved a masterpiece.

Someone was always going to get to his chin. I don't think he'd retire undefeated. Someone just as unlikely as McCall or Rahman would have pulled it off.
