Fury wasn't a cherry pick before fight one, he wasn't a cherry pick before fight two and he won't be a cherry pick before fight three.

All this nonsense has run its course.

Wilder isn't the guy who has a loss to the sixth-ranked heavyweight today.

Joshua is the guy who needs to step up.

    2017 is long gone.

No one would class Wilder in the top 2 right now.

It's quite clearly Fury and AJ.

The top 10 by the ring

    Fury
    AJ
    Wilder
    Whyte
    Ortiz
    Parker
    Ruiz
    Hunter
    Povetkin
    Rivas
    Usyk

AJ has beaten 4 of those.
Fury has beaten 1 of those

That being said Fury has twice dominated Wilder and is unbeaten, lineal and a favourite in the upcoming unification against AJ so his place at the top is clear.

AJ has a very clear edge against everyone else in terms of resume so he's clearly number 2.

As for 3rd, I'd probably go Whyte. He's beaten Povetkin, Rivas and Parker.

Wilder, Parker and Ruiz are the same kinda level.

Then I'd say Hunter is next.

Ortiz and Povetkin are the next two imo.

    Then Rivas.

Usyk is probably the 2nd best HW in the world after Fury, he'd be a favourite over the rest of the top ten. But his resume right now at HW is weak so he's hard to place.

But to answer the question, no, Wilder is absolutely not in the top 2 right now (LOL)

Usyk is lucky to be tenth. His claim to fame at heavy is he outpointed Hunter years ago in another division.

Joshua is lucky to be two. Nobody in the top 10 has a loss to the sixth rated Ruiz, except Joshua, who was dropped four times and quit.

The highest rated current contender Joshua has faced was Whyte, who he fought ONCE six years ago before either sniffed a belt.

2015 was a long time ago.

Fury is No.1 by a long way.
Can any of the top 10 cause Fury any trouble? Probably not. AJ is way too slow - and the smaller faster guys are just too small.
In terms of résumé. Wilder has a draw against Fury - so that beats any of the other top 10's previous wins.

No, his claim to fame is unifying the Cw division and beating Chisora.

Joshua has also beaten Ruiz, he's 1-1 with him, unlike anyone else in the top ten he's avenged all of his defeats. He's beaten Whyte, Ruiz, Parker and Povetkin. 4 of the top ten.

Whyte has the next best resume but he lost by ko to AJ.

No one on this site considers the draw with Fury to be a legit result.

    Fury dominated the first.

Wilder coming directly off a KO loss (and then 14+ months of farting around) ranked #2, over Joshua? :dunno Yeah, um - no. IDGAF what Arreola, Ruiz or Parker did this past weekend, still no.

He dominated most of the fight - but have you ever seen anything soo close to a knockout as that 12th round?
Will anyone ever beat Fury on points or is a knockout the only option? If so, we could be looking back in 10 years time saying Wilder was the only fighter who ever got close to beating Fury.

Joshua has been farting around for three years.

While Wilder has fought the current world champ twice and the current #4 contender twice over the last three years and knocked them down a half dozen times along the way ....

In the same time frame, Joshua edged the current #5 guy, stopped the current #8 guy, got dropped four times and quit against #6 guy and ran from him in the return.

He has been coasting. The Whyte win six years ago is fading from view.

Anyone who STILL thinks Wilder is above Joshua is a genuine moron and should be disqualified from certain professions.

Big John McDermott was the closest to beating Fury.

Chaves vs Martinez was similar. Wilder landed his Hail Mary shot, it just wasn't enough.

These guys are in such denial over Joshua I have actually seen people type the names Kingpin Johnson and John McDermott today in an attempt to keep Joshua on his current pedestal.

They are really living in the past.

It is 2021. Time for Joshua to fight someone in the current top four, at least.

He's supposed to fight Fury. The contract came in and even Warren confirmed this a couple days ago. If he beats Fury or gives him a harder fight than Wilder did all the things You're saying are not going to age well. You're potentially digging up a hole for yourself.

Wilder got battered by Fury, he`s temp outg of the picture and hopefully stays out of the way so the Fury v AJ fight can go ahead, Usyk would beat Wilder.

If Joshua fights Fury, floors him twice and manages to fight him to a draw, what won't age well are all these ludicrous posts insisting Joshua outpointing Parker and Ruiz were better than Wilder dropping Fury twice and drawing with him. (LOL)

If Joshua accomplishes what Wilder did against Fury, it will be the best performance of Joshua's career.

If Joshua floored Fury twice, think anyone will say, "I don't know, those boring decisions over Parker and Ruiz were pretty sweet." LOL

    No.
