Not GGG's fault. However this has been a problem at middle weight for decades. It was weak when GGG ruled it and it was weak when Hopkins ruled it. Best you can do is rule it and ideally move on.

Yeah GGG needed to petition for Szeremeta to raise him up the rankings, what a lame statement. He had been ranked by the Ring for quite a while, although he didnt deserve it, it had nothing to do with GGG and his people. Then as far as the contenders he fought, all you have to do is look at the Ring magazine rating right before GGG arrived on the scene in 2010, GGG mowed through most of them like a hot knife through butter. Oh, i guess the Ring mag was anticipating GGG'S arrival so they made sure they were easy for him. Wow, are you desperate.

Thats what Canelo did, he gave up his belt because GGG wouldn't weaken himself for somebody that outweighed him already.

Lara and his team kept barking Gs name. But not once did they ever attempt to move up to 160 to make a case for why he should have been considered a worthy opponent. Golovkin whoops his ass back then and whoops his ass now.

Go back and check again. I checked against RING MAGAZINE ratings. He beat 11. Not sure how you checked your info.

    Proska
    Stevens
    Macklin
    Geale
    Jacobs
    Szeremeta
    Derevyanchenko
    Lemiuex
    Monroe
    Murray
    Rubio

I am not going back to re find all the links but I now they are out there. You even left out obvious names, which shows me you didn’t search that hard.

GGG can’t help all the top guys that avoided him like the plague, like Cotto, Martinez, Sturm, Saunders, etc.

I apologize, I missed Rubio and Szeremeta. Munroe wasn't ranked, though. The fact that you're splitting hairs over an old Rubio and Szeremeta proves my point more than yours, though. They are exactly what can be called cans.

How did I miss the obvious ones? You think because I didn't mention them means I didn't know they were ranked? It's obvious Jacobs and Derevyanchenko were ranked.

No, but that doesn't mean he didn't spend his prime beating bums.

Unless I’m wrong, and I could be, Monroe was on the lower end of the top 10.

Your one post didn’t mention DJ or SD. Unless you mentioned them elsewhere and I missed it.

You can only beat who’s willing to get in front of you. The big names didn’t want the smoke and we KNOW that.

The rest that were willing got smoked, outside of DJ and SD. And he beat them towards the end of his rope, DJ avoided the fight for years.

Wow that's a huge list of bums, if ggg couldn't get fights why didn't he moved up in weight?? He could've went to LHW it was packed, I mean it was only two divisions up?? It's ggg own fault he wasted all this year's fighting nobody's but it's his legacy

His legacy is fine. The only people mad about it are people who never liked him in the first place. Hagler doesn’t have a lesser legacy because his biggest wins are over guys who came from lower divisions, same as Golovkin doesn’t have a lesser legacy because he didn’t bow to any silly demands.

It is 11, just not all in the first world title reign, that is if we are going off of Ring mag ratings. If you are going off of organizational rankings I'm sure all 20 are in top 15, you get title shots being in the top 15.
    1 Proksa
2 Macklin = Got robbed vs Sturm for title, gave Pfp ranked Martinez hell in title fight.
    3 Stevens
4 Geale =former unified Champ beat Sturm for Unified title.
5 Rubio= Went 9 rnds with Pavlick in title fight, lost to Chavez jr in close 12 round title fight, KOED Lemieux who was undefeated Ring top 10 at the time.
6 Murray= Beat up and stopped Murray in 11 rounds. Something Abraham, Martinez, Groves, Saunders, or anybody else was able to do.
7 Lemieux = for IBF title.
8 Brook= Undefeated ranked #1 by the Ring, Welterweight Champ, Rank #10 pfp by the Ring, Career ruined by crushing defeat to GGG.
9 Jacobs= WBA regular Champ, ranked #2 right behind GGG.
10 Derevyanchenko = Elite level top 5 contender, for vacant IBF title in fight of the year level fight.
11 Szeremeta = IBF mandatory, and #6 Ring mag. Good amateur defeated Sulecki in the amateurs.
Their should be at least one if not two more vs Canelo, who is Currently ranked #1 pfp and a four division Champ. Also of the 11 wins 9 were by highlight reel KO'S.
