Canelo's career has been very carefully 'managed' and it was clear neither him or GGG wanted any part of Saunders after the Andy Lee fight, Saunders had even gone out of his way to try and force the fight turning up at the press conference to confront them. I would go as far to say Canelo has deliberately dangled the carrot to kept him inactive in order to gain an advantage. Saunders is just an awkward obstacle to Canelo but he wont get star struck or overawed by the occasion (another Canelo phsych tactic) like Fielding, Yildrim and C. Smith did. Saunders is extremely talented but lazy however looking at his condition he is obviously motivated for this one, a UD win for Canelo is realistic but doing even marginally better than Callum Smith will unlock further big fights, he does not have to win this one just do better than the other Brits which I am fully backing him to do. Win or loose Saunders will be waving wads of cash in our faces post fight.
I think Saunders will win the first 4 to 5 rounds then come unstuck, slow down and Canelo will land enough blows to force a stoppage. Or Canelo wins a UD.
I think that is very likely. One thing Canelo has developed in abundance since the Mayweather loss is patience. I think Billy Joe Saunders could comfortably box him and circle around the ring with his excellent footwork but eventually he'll slow and be caught. Canelo KO Championship rounds.
I may need therapy but I keep watching the smith and kovalev fights and I dont see an unbeatable fighter in canelo one bit. I think if his engine lasts which it should the condition he is in I think saunders is going to do a fury vs Klitschko on him.
Rate Saunders but he is a turd of a man. Think Canelo is however just a monster of a fighter and an amazing fighter so I go with him for a late stoppage. Would not want to even think what Saunders would be like if he won this fight....
Of course Canelo isn't unbeatable, he got absolutely schooled by a 36 year old Mayweather and also got questionable decisions against Lara and GGG x2. Canelo for me isn't anything special but he is very good and has the judges on his side, it'll take either a special fighter or a special performance to beat him.
Canelo is most certainly not unbeatable, he has been beaten and more than once in reality, but Saunders cannot IMO.
Saunders to take the first three rounds, the fourth to be a 60-40 that Saunders edges but the judges give to Alvarez. Rounds 5 to 9 Saunders will ease off which will confuse Alvarez who will go looking for the kill. The last three rounds will be interesting as I think Saunders will have enough in the tank to keep Alvarez from landing cleanly and landing combos while continually catching him with jabs. Alvarez will get the nod for looking more aggressive but people will be furious and there'll quickly be multiple montage videos all over the net of Alvarez missing and getting countered.
I will get you booked in mate !!!! BJS has stunk the place out in all but 3 fights at best yet you think he will beat an ATG in his prime and hungry for glory and legacy.....BJS finest moment was clowning Lemieux... From what i am reading on here a lot of UK bookies will be happy by sunday morning
