Floyd would have benefitted from a bigger ring, like Saunders wants here. Canelo wants the normal standard size ring. I'm pretty sure Mayweather Maidana had a bigger than 20 foot ring. So no, clearly Saunders is the one trying to use "Floyd tactics" here only unlike Floyd he isn't in the position to dictate and get a Maidana to agree to a bigger ring. And he's trying to demand this bigger ring mere days before the biggest fight in his career lol.

Why was this never talked about? It seemed that Mayweather saw what Maidana did to Broner and said "I ain't fightin this dude unless I have a massive 24 foot ring".

 

I don't think they playin, but Eddie needs to satisfy both sides, and I think the only solution at this point that both sides would agree to is 21 feet.
