Eh i don't know about that one chief. Ruiz got up from a 2 punch combination then ate a big ass right straight afterwards before beating Aj to the punch in an exchange. Would Cooney do that ? I'm not too sure about that. Maybe.
Cooney would also be Fury's second best win so according to that logic his record is also shallow. Actually in both cases you're logic is right. Fury and Aj both have shallow records
Who mentioned Fury? Cooney would be Fury's third best win behind 10 year defending champion Klitschko (in Germany) and 5 year defending champion Wilder (in USA).
Because Fury was in the original question along with Aj. In all honesty Cooney has a better resume than Wilder even though he was never a world champion
He beat old man Klitschko, and he didn't look impressive at all in doing so. The only great win Fury has is Wilder. Period.
Yeah Klitschko was past it but he dominated the division for a decade and would probably destroy Wilder imo. Klitschkos win over prime Povetkin says alot. And yes i know he dominated a weak era some fighters the Klitschkos beat are looking pretty good in this current era and that says something. Wlad is #10 ATG in my book, a terrific great. However, he was almost 40 years old when he fought Fury. That's olllld for a boxer. Fighters like Holyfield and Foreman are the striking the striking exceptions to a solid ground rule: fighters are mostly finished past 37. It's true, there are exceptions...but guys like Holmes and Foreman had layoffs before attempting to come back. Wlad was active right up to the fight with Fury. And I should mention again: I don't think anyone thought Fury looked great beating Wlad. It looked more like Wlad was way past it than anything resembling great boxing from Fury.
I would make both of them clear favorites over Cooney. The least that you have to say for those two men, is that they delivered in the big ones.
